So...this has been a bit of a rough week for me.
Monday, I got home from work, and spent the rest of the day hanging out with my in-laws--the family dog was put to sleep, and it's rough. So, I took Monday to hang out.
Tuesday comes along, and my car is making a horrible noise at the back end. Several times on the way home, I pull over, and try to figure out why, but don't find anything. About 5 miles from home, the back end of my car jerks to the right, and tries to throw me into the other lane. I slow way down, and guide it gently to the side of the road, wondering if my tire fell off.
Answer: Sort of. Two of the lugbolts missing, leaving the tire at something of an odd angle (something like this: / ). I jack the car up (still sitting beside the highway), and try to push it back on.
Turns out, 2 of the bolts were completely gone, and still pretty hot--they'd just come off, right then, apparently. My father-in-law came out, and helped me limp it home with 2 lugnuts holding the tire on. My father in law loaned me a car to get to work, and replaced the cylinder while I was at work today, and it's now in the shop until tomorrow, to get the exhaust fixed. (He figured we'd just fix it all at once.)
So yeah, I haven't been too productive this week.
Sorry.
