Right! I'll have to shelf my current pic, and do something more suited to the season.
Actually, since I tend to work on one pic, get bored/tired/hungry and then go off to deal with that, and then come back to start on an entirely different picture, this will probably worsen an existing problem.
Maybe I should start putting up the sketch versions and replace them when the full thing is done.
This is a boon to me for two reasons:
1. If I get too many irons in the fire you guys are likely to rag on me to go back and finish ones that you want to see, keeping me semi-organized.
2. I get to an excuse to show off my concepts without having to finish them first.
The drawbacks are likewise twofold:
1. You guys have to be exposed to a bunch of crummy old sketches, which will forever poison you against the finished work.
2. Finishing pics that receive minimal response are likely to be put off for finishing, meaning that by the time I'm down to three themes to finish (assuming such a thing even attempts to happen) they'll all be crummy pictures that I don't care about, and neither will you, so they'll just be a chore to slog through.
I suppose, I could always scrap the design, even after posting the sketch, but that seems like cheating somehow. :-/
