Turret pixel animation.

Best on a white background..seeing as the text is black.
I can honestly say that I don't get the big deal about the Weighted Companion Cube. I mean....it's just the same as all the other cubes you gotta use in the game..this one just has a heart on it. >.<
Seriously..the turrets are MUCH cuter than the stupid cube. Even if they do try to kill you...>.> Bah. I had to let 'em live. I couldn't find it in my to kill the buggers. XD I just turned them backwards. Heh..silly me. Fangirling again.
The turrets are from Portal. I just had to do turret fanart..'cause there's not enough. Everybody loves said Cube. >.<
-
What is it? O.o
-
A turret, from the game Portal.

Except they usually shoot at you..as the icon suggests....but I guess I found a glitch or something, 'cause it never shot me. XD
-
Heh. ;D
So you made that?
Neat. ;)
-
I made the icon, yush. I popped Reign of Fire in to watch, then I started on that....and couldn't stop. Overall, I think I only watched about 5 minutes. XD Ah well. It's not like Blockbuster needs it back by the time I get around to actually watching it..which would likely be another YEAR & A HALF..but I'll watch it, darnit. I'm determaned!
For anybody who's curious..'cause I forgot to mention it:
Most of the frames were made in MSPaint. When I got to the gunfire part, I finished in Fireworks, so I wouldn't confuse any white pixels with the transparent part. It is 52 frames, and took around....however long Reign of Fire is...to make. XD
-
Heh. ;D
I don't know much about the critter-bot you made... but I'm familliar with Reign of Fire... :P
-
And, yet, I am not...
-
Heh. ;D
Well, my family likes movies, a lot, and that's one of the ones they got.
It's about how dragons pretty much take over the world, and turn it into little more than a wasteland, and people have to defend themselves from them. I like the movies wherein all the dragons aren't evil, and have to be killed, more...
-
I like any dragon movie where they dwell in modern times. Dragonheart is still my favorite, but I think it's neat seeing them swoop through all the buildings and whatnot, as in Dragon Wars. X3
Of the over 300 movies I own, Reign of Fire isn't one of them, actually. I just got it from Blockbuster. XD I might as well own it, though....I'm bad about not sending movies back. ^^;
-
The eternal plight of Blockbuster...
-
Heh... ;D
Well, you can still send it back, can't ya'?
I don't know a lot about Blockbuster... but then my family doesn't rent a lot in the way of... well, just about anything, really. :P
-
Nah..we registered for the online program..so we can keep 'em as long as we want. I like it because you can trade them for a movie in-store, too. =3
Can't rent games through it, though..that kinda sucks..'cause I tend to re-rent games A LOT. (which is why they finally gave me Darkened Skye. XD)
-
Blockbuster gave you a game? Nifty...that's customer service, that.
-
Heh..well..I think they pitied me. I had re-rented it so much, I had it for about 3-4 months..maybe more. XD
-
Heh. ;D
Sometimes I wish libraries were like that... >.<
-
Indeed...
-
That's what I was suposed to bring with me today!
I was supposed to return Mortal Kombat, to the library, while I was here.
That's a load off my mind; I can do that tomorrow.
Not ba-- *ahem* terrible movie BTW, which means that it starts slow, and the special effects often come in the form of 90s CG, but Dragyn liked it more than I did, and I watched it again when my other brother saw it.
So not completely terrible... just, hard to think of something nice to say about.
...
The music was really, really good. --Carried the film, even.
--And some of the actors were quite good, though all for different reasons.
-
They each had their own talents, though it's a pity they didn't have talents that matched their roles...
-
Huh?
Wait, which movie?..
I think I missed something, here...
-
Mortal Kombat!
-
...
Duh.
I somehow manged to figure that out in my half-concious state rather than when I was perfectly awake, earlier...
-
I heard it was bad. D: So I've never seen it. I think I'd rather just play the games and continue my search for a zombiefied Lui Kang figure. >.>
-
Kang is a zombie now?
Last time I was caught up on MK plot (for very loose definitions of caught up) they just killed him off.
Just when you think MK has finally learned to let characters go...
Seriously, for "Mortal" Kombat, fraught with "Fatalities" surprisingly few people ever stay dead in MK.
-
I don't really know anything about the plot. o.< I started playing it when he was a zombie..so I dunno much about 'im before that.
-
...
I think I shall let this one go, for the most part. I have no clue about who any of these people are, and Mortal Combat is just the name a of frequently mentioned game, to me.
Well... maybe I've played it before... but the only time I really play games, much, is at other people's houses. :P
-
Lu Kang was "the chosen one". He supposedly defeated Shang Tsung and his ninjas in the first Mortal Kombat game. Plotwise many of these characters were killed, but they managed to find different ways of coming back.
He had a really loud, shrill kiai on every one of his normal attacks, that would drive you crazy. It was loud and shrill, and he never shut up! A lot of people were glad to see him go. The people who actually used him, on the other hand, were pretty bummed, to have to master a new character, if they wanted to see all the new fatality styles and characters.
Naturally, it was only a matter of time, before they called him back from the void.
I think the only character who hasn't died at all, and was in the first game, is Sonya. --for obvious reasons.
Note that I'm actually really bad at MK games. I grew up on Capcom and Capcom derived VS games, like Street Fighter and One Must Fall, so I have trouble blocking under MK. Soul Caliber II didn't give me trouble in that area, though; I guess it only effects me in 2d games.
-
Lui Kang is slightly on the irritating side, as far as that goes....but he's the only one I've ever been able to beat a boss with. D: (okay..so I used Mileena once, but only after I beat Onoga the first time. >.>)
-
::) Personally, I'd settle for being able to beat anyone, anyhow, at MK.
Sometimes, a lucky combo will get me to the second enemy, if I pour everything into attacking and rely entirely on position and tactics for defense, instead of blocking. This consists mostly of exploiting the weirdnesses of jumping in a 2D VS, which is weirder than normal in Mortal Kombat.
Of course, even when blocking is as easy as pushing <--, on the control pad, I tend to favor offense, even when defense might serve better. A good vs. match is about manipulating your opponent, and you're harder to manipulate when you're behaving pro-actively.
i.e. trying to stop enemy attacks as them come at you is more predictable than choosing from your various lines of entry and trying to ram your combo of choice down it.
-
Heh...
Don't most characters make some sort of irritating sound when they attack people, or die? :P
So... how does the 2D affect blocks?...
Is it 2D like I'm thinking, to begin with? :P
-
I....just push buttons at random. XD
Really, though..in Armegeddon, I have an easier time beating Blaze with either himself, Lui Kang, or a character I created myself. Seriously. Obi-Wan in MK. Epic win, dude.
-
O.o ?
My sister might be right... I think I really must live in a hole. >.< :P
-
Nothing wrong with not knowing the cast of MK.
Really, are you less knowledgeable about pop-culture, or do you just advertise the gaps in your knowledge?
I don't know squat about Invader Zim, but I don't make a point of saying that every time Fox brings it up.
-
Oops... I didn't notice this'n.
*Shruggs.*
I don't know very much about pop-culture at all. I mortify the avid followers of many celebrities. :P
But sorry if my saying that so often bothers you...
-
No, I'm just saying you seem a lot smarter in person, becuase if you don't have anything to say you don't talk, but that never stops you from writing a post.
For your own sake, not mine, stop doing that.
-
Hm...
All right. I'll keep your suggestion in mind.
However I do suppose a thanks for your input might be counted as something worth saying?
-
Well yes, of course.
Acknowledging a statement directed at you is only polite.
