Double posting for great justice!
I've been taking some time today to get back into spriting.
It's a skill I put a lot of time into as a kid, but stopped bothering to practice, when the world fell in love with 3D.
Anyway, I've put my first three frames into a cheap little .gif, to see how they fit, and I figured I'd toss it out.
These tiny, simplified images are a great way to draw a lot of poses quickly, so it's good practice for sketching.
Building an entire sprite sheet also helps get a feel for the way a character moves.
If I don't land a job, or see something shiny, I'll expand this into a longer (and higher frame rate) sequence, and maybe add some other characters, too.
It's equally probable that I'll go and work on my card set (which has been re-thought to the point it doesn't use any of the cards I've posted) or something new.
