It's evocative and universal, and intrinsic to the setting I'm working in.
Plus the way it's color and consistency changes over time is unlike any other substance on Earth. There are so many thousands of factors at play, that you could spend a lifetime drawing nothing but blood, and never fully explore it's depths.
As an artist that's a challenge that really draws me in.
