In the Headlines

'Kay, just because I can...

I've thought of some weirdo game of sorts, and now lets see if anyone'll play.

We're making tomorrow's headlines.
(Hahaha, that sounds funny... XD )
Random article selection in Wikipedia'll give us a topic, and then we get to mess with it how ever. It can be witty, it can be blunt, it can be reference, it can be the most random and insane thing anyone's heard today, (gotta' spew the insanity, somehow...) whatever, so long as we follow forum protocol.

For all I care, it could be something like:
"Museum Domain Management Association Overthrown By Mad Rainbow Butterflies with Fondness For Matches And Loathing For History"

I'd suggest you add, before the headline, the results of your random article, such as, "Museum Domain Management Association" for the mindlessly spouted piece above.

I'm curious with what people'll come up with, and rather expect it to be an interesting source of amusement. (Hopes are, it'll entertain you as much as it will me.   ;)  )

Any questions? Or shall we play?

For convenience's sake, here's wiki:

"JabbaWockeeZ Spotted By The Beastling Forum - Members Beware"

I had to involve the forum somehow... and there was no other place I could think of with any relevance to everyone here... XD

"Snow Glass, Apples In Short Supply This Winter

Evil Stepmothers In Panic"

I hereby declare that I have no intention of ever reading that, after reading it's description. As much as I support the idea of the CBLDF, I can't image them having a poster child with less than seven purified heads hanging off of it, particularly if it's intended to be some sort of humorous parody.

That's just the kind of creature that attaches itself to a well meaning, anti-censorship organization, forcing them to do more harm than good.

"Calavera"

Hey, I know at least one other person who ought to be familiar with this, here...   ;D
(If not, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calavera will tell you.)

"Governor Hostage Of Demanding Calaveras; Tired Of Being Eaten?"

As if they didn't taste bad enough...   :P

Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. They started out trying to fight censorship in comics, so a comic book could get into politics or the real world consequences of violence, without being accused of corrupting children.

In practice they end up being a free publicity engine for smut stories based on fairy tales. A tragic waste of donated funds.

Anyway, I rolled:

B.J. Penn

==
"BJ Penn Declares Brazilian Jiu-Jiutsu  supreme Martial Art

Drunken Wushu Practitioners Commence Beatdown"

==

I'm sure the real B.J. Penn never did anything like that, and that he could take at least one typical Wushu master.

(The sugar ones just aren't appealing... O.o But chocolate is... ^_^ )

Oh, I have to hurry for class... um... skip?

It's your game; you tell us.

Landau Theory:

"Landau Theory Proven Correct!"

"Turns we were just carrying the one wrong," says scientific community.

Landau Theory is a now obsolete model of Quantum Physics, that made early superconductor theory possible.

The railgun physicists of Earth owe a lot to Lev Landau, who spent a little over a year in a Soviet gulag, for being a smart guy in the wrong time and place.
