That was pretty neat, by the way. How did you do that?

The whole thing is just a series of static .gif images in sequence -- I drew them by hand, scanned them in, and edited them in Paint.Net.

The "fade out" was achieve by putting the stuff I wanted to fade in a single layer, and then slowly decreasing its opacity.  Nothing too fancy.
