Not really a tutorial or anything, though I could make it into one.

At any rate, the Rant is found at this place.

Feedback, by any chance?  On the layout, the word choice, or the searingly bright pink text?

Okay, randomly throwing out a hex code might not have been my best idea, but I still sorta' like the way it turned out...

Anywho. The pink text actually isn't bad at all. The choice of words is good, too. It would be great for somebody that already knew how to use layers, but chooses not to..though to be an actual tutorial, it'd be nice to add in how to use them.

Seeing as it's not really one, though, it's a good piece of rant. The visuals are a nice touch, too.

No, no lawyers at all.

@Fox:  Would you use layers if I told you how to use them, like with a tutorial?

I doubt it. I know how to use them, I just choose not to. When I have so many of them open, I get confused on what's what & end up messing up the entire picture. It's happened on more than one occasion...

Hm... oh, because i didn't say it before and don't have the time to go back:

1. There was supposed to be a "the" before the word computer.

Hmm...I tend to give them descriptive names, so I never forget what's on which.  Hence, I end up with a bunch of layers like "Cloak Shading 1" and "BGColor" and even "Glowy things in BG."

Why would I like lawyers?

I have to merge my layers more often than is best, because otherwise it gets to be too many of them, and I can't keep them strait in my head.

I suspect this will be less of a problem with more practice, but practicing is a pain, when it takes so long and it's so hard.

I think I'm going to have to find a way to steal Dragyn's skills, instead of building my own. He made the entire Dark Lord of Chocolate page, including the drawing, uploading and the HTML in an hour. The drawing probably only took half of that. How can you spend a whole day drawing something, knowing that it'll look half as good as what he can do in half an hour? It boggles the mind, and fills me with rage.

You know it wouldn't work, so save the effort for practicing.    

Besides, I'm pretty sure I'm no better than you'd be, if you'd just start that comic, and get your practice that way. (hint hint)

Simple fact of the matter is, no matter what I do, the first chapter isn't going to be up to par, with what I want it to be.

So, I put off doing the first chapter. --but if you never do the first one, the second one never happens either.

Someone once said, "Everyone has 6000 bad drawings in them, and it's best to get them out as quickly as possible."
