Title: Speak your mind
Post by: Dragyn on November 18, 2006, 12:36:00 AM
'kay, here we go.

This part of the forum is for talking about things not directly related to Beastling. Say what you like, I won't mind.

Just remember to keep it clean.

It's a good thing you put this "Speak your mind" topic in here, because this has nothing at all to do with the comic! I just wondered if you had thought about the possibility that you might know me. If you have then you may be interested to know that you do know me. Actually, I'm the nut that rides your bus and always seems to have to much candy. You know, the one you told the facinating speech about the ingredient in sugar free sugar and diet products to. Still think that that's slightly, ahem, really, wierd by the way.
It may not have mattered, but I figured I'd tell you. I guess I'll see you later, then!

Well...that would explain the hyperactivity of your posts to date...

Not that that's a bad thing, though.

Enjoy yourself

Later!

Hi Spoiled, guess I'll welcome you to the site, though that's about all I can do. If you have any big questions or want to know anything other than what some slight experience can gain about the site, don't ask me! You'd have to ask Dragyn, he made the site. Just thought I'd say hi to the new member.
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Dragyn on November 21, 2006, 06:32:00 PM
And I'll join in on saying hello, as well!

Uh, Faith..you might consider using the word "site" instead of "sight". There's just a little difference there.

Anyway, Spoiled, the easiest way to find all of the smileys is to click on the "reply" button to see the expanded version of the Reply box. The smilies and other options (like colors) can be found in there.

Enjoy yourself.

Opps... I guess I wasn't really thinking about that right then... I'll just correct that, and maybe start reading what I've written before I post it. Oh well. I got my avatar! Though it is a little, well, it's just like you said it would be, isn't it? It's good for the cause of adding some more color to my information, though. Thanks for the help, and the correction too! I'm going to fix that now, or else it's going to bug me.
Talk to you people later!

Woops! I'll fix that! :) The silly thing is that I just said I would try to be more observant of what I write... ::)

Oh and Spioled puppy, I figured that out after you put "not a collie" under you avatar. ;D Don't worry, I wont blurt! :-X

*Yawn* I just woke up at three something in the afternoon because I stayed up all night. :P I've got to stop doing that! Especially on school nights... :D

     Oh, and hi gryphor! ;D

Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Faith on November 23, 2006, 11:58:00 PM
Oh, gee... I guess I'm getting a bit of a big mouth. :( Sorry. :-[
I'll try not to do that anymore... :-[

As for the way I write Spoiled puppy, I've been a little careless of my spelling, no matter how may times I've tried to tell myself I was going to stop being so, well, careless. I'll have to try and remember to spell things right. :) Also, I've recently located the spell check and will start using it more often. I know I generally skip misspelled words while checking my posts, so spell check should come in handy! ;D

Sthingy means sthingy.

Gosh, what's wrong with this!

Sthingy is:
s p o o n.

I'm sorry, every time I typed in sthingy, it said sthingy -- so I had to write the word sthingy with spaces between all the letters.... wow, you guys must think I'm a freak... wait, think?

Aahhhhh!!!!!!

It's doing it again!!!!

Sthingy means s p o o n - okay, I don't know what this computer has against s p o o n s, but it's really weird, and sorry for the posting a lot of stuff, one after another, I just fixed that.
Title: Re: Speak your mind

Hmm... analytical is a good word to describe me! :D I guess how many questions I have posted and how many I will obviously post later on are good proof of that fact! ;D
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Faith on November 24, 2006, 08:13:00 PM
I've just realized, I've put up more posts than anyone else! :o ! :o ! :o !

I always thought I had gotten to being a, shall I say, friendly person, but 38 posts! Including this one I've written 39! The next largest amount of posts is currently 15! That has crossed the line between friendly and talkative by far!

39, 40, 41... and I just keep talking!

My mom can't afford AOL so she's switching to People PC. I may not be able to get on the internet for a while. I don't think switching internet should make my account or my email unreachable to me, but don't try to contact me and expect an immediate reaction.

Hey, good news! :D My mom found a way to make AOL more affordable, so I should be able to continue my use of the Internet without any interruption! :D

So everyone can ignore my last post in this section, sorry I gave some false information, though I thought it was true at the time! ;D

As long as you're not deliberately misleading us, I don't think anyone will really mind.

Don't worry so much.

Hmm... I think I'll move this thread to the Off-Topic Board. It sort of ended up off-topic, anyway.

You know what in the last 20 hours the only productive thing of done is laundry and learn a song...of course i already forgot it to. ;D

I also might of done something else but i don't remember. ???

What do you mean this is getting off topic...there never was a topic. :-/ 8) ;D
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Faith on December 08, 2006, 09:32:00 PM
Remember? Off Topic was the one with no topic, and Speak your Mind was the one that was supposed to be at least vaguely related to the comic. In that sense it had a topic. Though I started to use it as Off Topic, which ended out causing the whole forum to stray from the the original topic. ;D I do stuff like that.
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Dragyn on December 10, 2006, 12:38:00 PM
Don't worry about it. I already moved it, so topic shouldn't be a problem from here on out.

That's fine, there is no "off topic" statements in this section of the forum, it was actually made for off topic conversations.

When I first got on the forum, I wasn't sure of how to do anything, either. :D When I didn't know how to do something, I just had to post my questions in the Questions topic, and someone, usually Dragyn, would answerer them. ;)

That's a good thing, I think calling you Amy is better than calling you Amylovesyou69 all the time. :)

Minor note here: it's best to not use capital letters so much. It makes your posts a little hard to read.

Yeah - it bothers some people.

You have a myspace? My mom has a myspace... I don't. ;D
I'm not sure I'd want one, for myself.
I'll check yours out, though. :)
I probably wont be able to do anything without an account - but I'll check yours out!

And, good - I wasn't to sure about calling you Amylovesyou69 all the time whenever I felt like saying your name. Amy's much easier. ;D

Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Faith on February 24, 2007, 02:00:00 PM
A karma point is something you can give or be given, and the more people give you, the more, well, popular you are. :)

Also, if a person does not like something you've done or gets angry at you, they can take one away from you - but it does not add to theirs, it just takes from yours. :(

To give a person a karma point, click Exalt, which would be under the individual's avatar and information - to the left of their posts. Next to the word exalt is Smite - click that to take a karma point away from someone.

You can only give one karma point an hour, and I think the same works for taking points away - I wouldn't know, because I haven't tried it. ;D

I psycho-analyzed this before, so now I can tell you about it, and sound like a know-it-all. :D
Literally, sorry if I sound like a know-it-all.

*Laugh* :D

Well, I think I only sound like a know-it-all when I actually know something. :P
Usually, I'm just asking questions - but when I do explain something, I think I sound a bit like a snob.
Maybe it's just the way I talk... or how I tend to explain more than the person is actually asking...

Thanks, Spookty. ;)

Title: Re: Speak your mind

*Laugh!!!* :D

Thank you, Dragyn. :)

I know a lot of those... two of which I know very well, I call them; Mom and Dad!
My parents always used to want to appear wise and all knowing to their children, while all we really wanted to know was where they kept that terrifying wooden sthingy...
We found it eventually, the dogs loved it.... ;)

Well then, I wonder how know-it-alls learn all that stuff they "know" if they don't ask questions. They must either have the Internet or access to many books with a lot of time to spare. And then they'd still never know it all, if they didn't know how to ask questions, so, wouldn't a know-it-all be an odd type of oxymoron/noun?

I'm sorry, I know I'm being weird.

Odd, computer won't let me say sthingy...

Sthingy means sthingy.

Gosh, what's wrong with this!

Sthingy is:
s p o o n.

Probation?

I don't read any that should offend anyone over 12. I'm a bit of a moralist.
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Faith on October 08, 2007, 04:55:00 PM
Heh... I have to back up moralists, when it somes to that sorta' thing. Or most things, really...

Hey, I'm wondering about something...
So, if there were an image we could imagine these people as (not what avaters are, as I, myself, do not want to be thought of as an eyeball) what would everyone be?
So far, I've thought of Dragyn being a dragyn, Fox being a fox, Spirit Wolf being a wolf, and... it stops there.
I think I'll take the idea of a dragon, for myself, being as more than one person (myself included) seems to think the eyeball might be good for a dragon. If anyone thinks otherwise, I'll consider other suggestions... serious ones, that is. I'm not wanting any reminders of my strange description of myself. In the imaginary world, I'm not a squished butterfly/turkey bomb
But, I don't know what Arcblade wants to be... I don't know about talking/typing swords.

I've gotta go, by.

Probation... It's not that they'd be offensive, it's that I'm not sure if I'll like them enough to read them.

Faith.. hm... what kinda animal would be the personification of faith? Something strong. Preferably beautiful. Gentle by nature.

I can't think of any in particular I can very welly draw...
And those things don't go well with me...
Faith would go into that, of cousre.... but I wouldn't.

Though, this is not exactly supposed to be exactly like us, I gues...
Well, whatever.... any suggestions for a specific animal?

I still don't know what you should be, Arcblade...
This'll be difficult if I can't get an answere.... :P

Ah... y'know, this is going to sound utterly stupid, but I think one representation of faith is the Unicorn. Just occurred to me.

That...makes sense, actually.

And we all know you can draw one of those, Faith...

By the way, when not in forums, I tend to represent myself as an amalgam of all my characters.

Happy Birthday, Faith. If I could draw horses, I'd draw you a unicorn. Instead:

Heh...
I used to draw nothing but, actually.
(That changed while in my younger years of elementary.)

*Laugh!!!* :D
I forgot it said that on here...

I've seen that picture; I like it. Thanks. :)

All right, what should I do then, Dragyn?
Title: Re: Speak your mind

(in response to Faith saying she doesn't know what animal I'd be) I'm a creature unto myself, as far as I can tell. It's hard to pin me into a box. (shrugs)
Title: Re: Speak your mind

If you look in the extras, under "Miscellaneous," you'll see a really weird looking thing with horns, wings, a tail, and a Ramjik-style shadowy face. That's the type of amalgam I'm referring to. A miniature one shows up on the "Bio" button in navigation.

As far as what you should do...well, that's up to you.
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Faith on October 12, 2007, 09:17:00 PM
I remember that guy! :D
That's the kinda mixture of characters you go by?
I don't think mine will turn out too similar... they'll be different in quite a few ways. But then, you, too, made them different from one another.
What characters are in them?
Is that a sparkling tail?

This, is going to be interesting....
I think I've gotten most of two members started, 'cuz they're not hard/too complicated.
And I have no idea what I'll go by for Arcblade, then. I'd have second-guessed dragon (lots o' dragons...) by his avatar... but now I'm not so sure. I'm not sure at all, actually...

Well, at least some people'll get a laugh. :)
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: arcblade on October 13, 2007, 05:13:00 AM
Huh... okay, I'm tempted now. I can draw one thing... a strange creature that's slightly dragonish in appearance, but isn't... really... I might draw one up for a new avatar if I can get it right. I'll have to figure out if it's land-based, sea-based, or air-based, though. (ponders)
Title: Re: Speak your mind

*Laugh!!!* :D
I thought you could draw. :)

So.... will a dragon work?
It's just one of those things that are easier for me to draw, I guess.

Hey, Dragyn?
What characters do you usually like to have in that mixture?
What of the face?
Should it have a sort of snout and all that like the ones you've drawn?
(I've got a lot of good characters to choose from, and am not sure which ones should go together to make a presentable appearance for you!)

Does Fox and Spiritwolf like what I've figured for them?
I wonder if Spirit wolf will get on soon enough to find out, you know, before I draw it...
Or Kitty, for that matter. I guess I'll just draw some sort of small kitten/cat critter.
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: arcblade on October 13, 2007, 04:01:00 PM
I can't, really. I have muscle memory for how to draw this particular thing. Can't draw nothing else anywhere near decent.

I dunno, I'll draw one up and scan it or something...It's not really a dragon...

I say the same thing about my art, most of the time. :{P
(That smiley was a complete accidental... I was trying to make a normal face, and, all of a sudden, there was a mustache.)

Dragyn... wait 'till you see what I've done to the amalgam now!
I was fixing the head, and I ruined the arm!
How'd I do that? I don't really know.

Edit:
Um... it was an amalgam... not an almablam.

I've no clue. Just somewhere my mind managed to get to it, at.

I'll try to get this thing working well...

Screaming can be a lot of fun...
I think it probably could, anyways. On a general basis, I can't scream very loud on purpose....
(I guess I get gittery. The most I've ever screamed was... at Silverwood.)
(Is gittery even a word?)

Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: arcblade on October 15, 2007, 10:14:00 AM
I can scream, but I don't very often. I don't yell much, either. I mostly just raise my voice a little and make the sound stronger, give it more support, for a yell-like quality without the vocal damage.

....I sound nerdy. Or at least overdescriptive. Anyway.

I wrote it that way the first time...

Well, when my sister locked me out of the house today, I yelled a bit....
But it's not like screaming, ya' know?
I had to wait until somebody came home to get inside...
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Dragyn on October 16, 2007, 06:26:00 AM
Siblings can be a pain. Fortunately, our back door can be unlocked easily--if you know what you're doing.

Yelling and screaming are similar, but have their own unique qualities/usages.
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Faith on October 16, 2007, 07:03:00 PM
Heh. :)

That is a fortunate thing, indeed.
Last time that happened, I over-reacted and kicked open the door...
She wasn't letting me in, nobody was coming home for a long time, I had to get inside, and I know my sister pretty well, and as long as she was entertained by it, she would not let me in... and things like this she finds endlessly entertaining.

But, I think it's begun to become less so... because she's started unlocking the door while I'm pacing and/or waiting for someone to get home, and laughing at my stupidity when I find out it was unlocked for so long.
Either way, I am not kicking down that door again unless I have good reason.
Turns out that door is expensive.

True.
I think of yelling as some other form of communication or a way to enhance the meaning of the words to us (which tends to fail, whether it's realized or not, to help the communication to others) and screaming more of a form of easing the effect of a great amount, possibly too much, and too stressful an amount, of almost any kind of feeling.
But that's only my impression of them... I'm not really sure.
What's your say on that?
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Dragyn on October 17, 2007, 09:00:00 AM
My say is that they should be used sparingly, and avoided if possible.
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Faith on October 17, 2007, 02:37:00 PM
That is a good say...
I've lived with a very vocal family my whole life and never got used to it.

Sometimes I yell... but not to the extent I've seen it. I'm not sure if I would, even if I could...
I'm just weird that way.
Among other ways...

But it's not like it'd be useful, anyways, if I did. It usually just makes people angry...
I guess I have seriously yelled a bit. Though I usually don't... and when I do it's when I feel I need to. I know I never should actually need to... but I used to think that I did almost all the time. I'm glad I've gotten over it, for the most part.

Usually I just don't realize what's happening and my voice becomes higher and I talk faster when I'm upset... giving others the impression that I'm whining.
Which is weird, 'cuz when I'm whining I don't sound like that at all...
So I hate it when I do that, too.

This is an interesting conversation...
Certainly a strange bit of our minds, wouldn't you say?
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Dragyn on October 18, 2007, 07:55:00 AM
That's sorta' the point in this thread, if you'll recall.

Most people don't realized when they yell or scream. Wish they would, though.
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Faith on October 18, 2007, 03:20:00 PM
I do... and that is why I'm saying this is a strange part of the minds we are speaking. ;D

I don't know how they don't... well, most of the time. I understand some of the time.
But maybe I'm one of the few crazy people that note how different tones feel.
But for some reason that "whiny-voice" escapes my attention, so easily...
May have something to do with the fact that I have a higher voice, quite often... and it used to be even higher.

Usually, I get close to yelling... but that's normally it. Sometimes though... and I regret it later. Once in a while I don't realize it until it's too late... but not as much, anymore. In fact, I don't recall the last time that I did.
Though I know it wasn't far too long ago.
(Either way, when next I'm yelling, I hope somebody around me reminds me...)

I yell at my sister, most... she really gets on my nerves, sometimes.
I have yelled at, other relatives... back when I though I needed to. But that was stupid of me...

Does it still seem so weird, now? ;D
Hehehe...

It's strange... we have a box of chicks next to our computer, and they were making this tapping sound about 15 to 20 minutes, now... I looked down, and there was a crowd of them pecking this one dot on the wall. They're still doing it...

There were quite a few costumes, including no less than five people with cat ears, several of whom also boasted tails. There was a picnic, a twister board with spinner, an iPod, a Jack Sparrow, two Deaths (one of which was Australian, both of which were creepy), an Ent.... things like that.

The picnic won the Nintendo Wii. And the music sucked, for the most part. It was a whole lotta rap with a few gems interspersed. The song I danced hardest to was Sandstorm, of course.

Which reminds me: I suck at dancing.

I'm not dancer, myself...
(I look similar to a seizure-induced wacko' on the dance floor... and I am rather pleased with that, due to the fact that it gives me a reason not to dance. :) )

My friends were (at some other Halloween-styled gathering of sorts) a peacock, a witch and an scary ballerina.

Well, I'm afraid nobody'll see what it was supposed to look like that haven't, already...
Someone tore of a sleeve, and then I took off the other one for the night... and I wanted to fix it, but... one of the sleeves disappeared. :P

Now my arms look dumb.

I need to talk more in other threads. XD

Thanksgiving - most likely going to the RenFest. 'Cause turkey legs and centaurs rule.
Christmas - I dunno. We usually don't do much of anything. We always have a family thing, but that's more at the beginning of the month.

I'm driving to Madison, Wisconsin, for Thanksgiving. There I shall eat and drink heartily with my brother and sister in law.

At Christmas I'm driving the dratted 16 hours back "home" and staying with my parents while the college is closed.
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Faith on November 10, 2007, 08:36:00 PM
I'm... I guess I'm not sure what I'm doing, yet.
My family decides, and I follow them. They're an indecisive lot... so we usually don't know until the weekend of our departure.
Usually, though, we just go by tradition. Go to my Aunt's house for one, and my Grandparent's house for the other.
It's a little off balance this year...
Usually, it's more than probable that we go to my Aunt's for Thanksgiving. It's likely that we'll hold this choice of tradition. Then, well... Christmas may be held at home, this year. We haven't done that in ages.
That actually could be bad... is it just my family that tends to become angry during holidays?

At least there won't be the usual four hour drive to my grandparent's. That may be no comparison to your frightening 16 hours (you don't do that every year, do you?) but, I think, if my family stayed in any confined space for much longer, we'd kill each other. :P
Those and holidays... sets 'em off.

So your family does different stuff every year, Dragyn?
Do ya'll here go by traditions, or do ya' do what ever you feel like, for that year?

Edit:
Er... hours, not miles.

Dragyn, without anyone realizing it, I wonder, if it has started again...?
(Since this happened through PMs, and Fox and Arcblade don't know, I'll explain it. :) )
I think Dragyn said he wanted to bake cookies of some sort, off of the forum. I, all of a sudden, wanted to make cookies, so I said so through a PM. That made Dragyn want to make cookies, so he said so. That made me want to make cookies...
It went on like that. ;D

Blergh..I don't even wanna hear "cookie" for another week. XD Bad idea to eat those mint cookies.

On a random note! Beowulf was cool. I mean..anything with a dragon in it HAS to be. XD There were some times when you couldn't tell if it was CGI or not. Still..I think if they went to those lengths to make it so realistic, to just make it live-action. o.O Movie people are weird. Ah well. I'm still weak, and got pretty winded..but it was worth it.

I'm afraid I'll have to say "cookies" anyway.

I made some cookies. Not the ones I'd planned, I couldn't find the recipe. These ones were exceptionally sugary...and easy.

I also attempted to make some improv cookies...but that was a failure. They ended out as scones...

CGI?

What type where they? Or were they made from a recipe?

Heh...
They weren't that bad. They just needed something extra.
(I know, I took them home. ;D )

I had never even tasted a scone, before...
Those "scones" I think, tasted much better warm. Their texture needed some helping.

I saw the previews to that movie...

Heh... do you bake/cook Arcblade?
Or do you listen to others talk about cooking and get hungry. :P
Ah, you probably won't be hungry for long... Thanksgiving being tomorrow, and all.

And CGI = computer generated images. In other words, the whole bloody movie was a cartoon. It just didn't look it.

Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Fox on November 23, 2007, 09:15:00 AM
The characters didn't look exactly like they're voice actors, for one. (although it was REALLY close) For another..the hair didn't look as realistic as it should have. It looked kinda..slick. That was just from previews. It's fairly easy to tell once you start watching the movie itself. They just don't have as natural a movement as real people.

But that's just coming from the one who rarely watches TV. I'm sure somewhere it was mentioned before the movie came out. XD
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Dragyn on November 23, 2007, 03:21:00 PM
CGI, huh? I had assumed Beowulf used real people...I wouldn't have been able to ID the actors if I'd known who they were.

I didn't watch the movie. I've heard the story, so I assume they stuck with it. If that's the case, we all know how it ended.

I wouldn't have been able to see it, if I wanted to or not, yet... my family doesn't go to the movies or anything that often. The last time I went to the movies... I was with a friend, and that was after a storm, from a while back... there was a power outage all through the town, and many neighboring towns, and we accidentaly drove over a powerline that was lying on the ground... we had to go from one place to another to just watch a movie. It was fun going through stores with flashlights...

XD I wanna do that. Though I don't think I better do it in Target. I'm sure they know me by now after skipping through isles singing "We're off to see the wizard", and cosplaying Star Wars with the noodles in the pool section. XD

~Speaking of..the "Force" is a Star Wars reference. =3 As you probably know by now..I make SW references quite a bit.

Yes, but Faith said it as "Foce" and wanted to know if any of us know what "foce" is.

By the way: the answer is no.

Aw... I wanted it to be a word... :P
I'm telling you, I don't think total gibberish, it's just the way I type/say it!
Okay, so maybe I think some things that are pretty close to falling into the category of, "gibberish..."

Yeah, I know.
At least I knew a little bit about something, anyway... :P
I just have this awful tendancy of typing that gibberish I referred to, above.

Dragyn was right about that "foce" stuff.

Actually, it turns out that La Foce so happens to be a place in Tuskany, Italy.
I just had to look it up... ;D

*Double posting because this won't be acknowledged, otherwise... sorry...*

This is extremely random... (so it fits well, here) but, I was wondering...
What do each of the the main colors (purple, green, blue, orange, yellow, red... all the stuff in between/shades or tints if you want) mean/intemperate to you?
I was contemplating this for no apparent reason, and decided to just experiment with ya'll on the forum, 'cuz colors tend to mean different things to different people, and I'm just weird so I wanted to find out.
?
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Dragyn on December 01, 2007, 09:55:00 AM
I take it by main you mean the Primary and Secondary colors?

In which case, starting with the instant affiliations, following with what I usually use them for:

Red: blood and fire violence and death
Yellow: sunlight and sunflowers summer and happiness
Blue: ice and cold calm and relaxed
Green: Grass and chaos Calm, but chaotic?
Orange: fire and fruit Burning oranges! (no...I don't really know)
Purple True Chaos, and murder (No clue on this one, either...blasted secondaries)
Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Faith on December 01, 2007, 11:15:00 PM
Interesting...
I said intemperate...
Oh, and what you said was interesting, too!

Heh... lots of chaos....

What about white and black?
(Yeah, it may seem obvious... but I want all details... I'm weird like that.)

Yeah, Primary and Secondary colors. :)
But I wasn't sure if all would follow... so I probably made it even more confusing... but then I think that ya'll understand, on a second thought.

I'm slightly confused here. I'll give it a shot, though.

Red - Festivity.
Blue - Relaxation.
Yellow - Summer/fun.
Green - Spring/new life.
Orange - Tropical/care-free.
Purple - Royalty/courage.
White - Purity.
Grey - Depression/darkness.
Black - Goth/solitude/darkness.

General symbolisms and imagery:

Red: Fire (primarily it's destructive aspects), blood(in turn rife with it's own symbolisms), rage, violence, fruity beverages, power(physical or political), poison, danger.

Purple: Respect, wealth, feminity, silk and other expensive cloths.

Blue:Cold. hominess, comfort, relaxation, rest.

Green: Soft grass, forests(whether they constitute a pretty view or a place to get lost and freeze to death.) Raw power, life, chaos, mold, swamps, sewage, untapped potential, opportunity, relaxation, poison/ratiation.

Yellow:Mildew, old documents, cheapness, seediness, Anchient architecture(pyramids and zuggarats, the hanging gardens, etc.)
Nuetrality, mediocricy, electric light, wealth(particularly gold)

Orange: Fire(both good and bad), Warmth, comfort, Vendors (particularly of foodstuffs), noisy public areas, heavy wooden furniture, bathroom tile, luxurious furs and expensive polished furnishings(I used to polish brass doorknobs so people much richer than me could put fingerprints on them. ).

Black: Death, Cold, Night, Darkness, Evil, the Unknown, the secret, the Unnamable, the Forbidden, ash and desolation, and swishy clothes (I love my trenchcoat.)

White:Purity, Intensity, Idealism, cleanliness, blankness, writers block. Life, Starlight, snow, death.

Grey:Nuetrality/genericisim/totalitarianism, gunmetal, Machinery, stone, fortress might, permenance, inexorability. Cities carved frrom living rock , battleships and obelisks.

How's that?

Grom here is from a comic I intend to produce some day. The plot of which has been composting in my brain since before I read my first webcomic (8-bit Theatre of all things. A cousin introduced us both to it.). Ooh, that reminds me of a quote! --The one that got me interested in 8-bit and then webcomics in general! ;) I need to edit that post! :o

Anyway, Grom is a Goblin/Demon hybrid, with lots of fire powers and a number of deep rooted issues. He functions as an assassin for his demon mother, whose love he vainly struggles to earn by sowing devastation and suffering wherever he goes. He's really only a secondary character (a recurring villain that the heroes have reasons for not killing mostly), but he's visually interesting and has fun expressions, because I can twist his face as far as I like and it's still okay. He's just bendy like that. :D

I wish I had an evil clown smiley to use for things like this.... :'(

Therefore, interesting. When do ya' think ya'll do anything with it?

The name Grom reminds me of the name Brom... O.o
I think I read that series too many times, as a kid...
I got the first book when I was eleven, and... it became my favorite book. Now, I need to find another series, on account of the fact that the last of that series is almost out. And I can't read it again, 'cuz I know too many sentences by heart. I would know, I've tried...
I hate it when I do that...
Has anyone else done that, or am I simply hopeless? >.<

Title: Re: Speak your mind
Post by: Faith on December 20, 2007, 08:21:00 PM
My teacher said I was dyslexic, once...
I kept on getting everything backward a good deal of years... I fixed some things by doing stuff like I memorizing the fact D, in the word "and," faced into the word... I felt silly having to compare how I wrote letters to "and," again and again. ;D
I think, actually, that I switched B and D right up until sixth grade. I mixed stuff like "friend" for a bit of a shorter amount of time, though... maybe until the beginning of fifth grade...
A minor, odd fact about Faith. ;D
...
That might sound slightly odd if someone said something like that, and nobody thought that it was a name...

Now, after all my rambling...:

Who's Monk?
Title: Re: Speak your mind

Heh..yeah. That's the truth. XD Of course..if I lost my pencils I'd be in trouble. XD (120 PrismaColor pencils getting lost? Hoo..I'd be upset.)

And now a moment of random: EE! My calendar came in the mail today. =3

Heh. :)

Congrats.

Hm... that's right.... new year = new calendar... >.<
(My family has to get one of those.)
The troubles with calendars. :P
One of those interchangable ones would be so conveniant... ;D
As well as cheaper, in the long run... well, as long as nobody broke it...
