Title: Catchphrases
Post by: Fox on January 05, 2008, 10:41:00 AM
*shrug* Just something new. XP

What's your most-often said words/phrases? (real-life, online, both...?)

Real-life:
BOOYAH!
Woo-hoo!
Dangit!
Don't leave the blueberries. (long story. XD)
Waffley waffles! (another long story. XD)
Dead people rock. (yet another one needing explaination)
*after getting out of the shower* I'm clean, you're all filthy!
THE WORLD IS MINE!
The meaning of life is food and to eat. There.
Beware the Ninja-Fox!
*Earthworm Jim voice* Gah-roovy!
Spoothead! (Angry Beavers, lawlz)

There's probably more. XD

Oooo, I'm gonna have fun with THIS.

"Lies! Squishy LIES!" - from R&C: Up Your Arsenal.  Or just "Lies! Lies and slander!", usually followed by random arm waving.

"I'm awesome!" - Uh, yeah.  I think it's safe to say that I say that way too much.

"Oh shi-.. er.. crud! Yeah."

"Oh yeah!? Well I have my own robot army! HAH!"

And that's about all I can say without breaking forum rules. Eheh.... heh...
Title: Re: Catchphrases
Post by: Fox on January 05, 2008, 04:07:00 PM
XD I say "lies and slander" a lot, too.
Some I forgot:

"I amaze myself."
"I'm going into my room now. If you hear an explosion, I didn't do it....maybe."
"Why?"
"That's not true! .... I think!"
"HAH! I'll show you who reigns surpreme! YOU WILL NOT EAT MY FLESH TODAY! Stupid door(or fan/fridge/sofa/cat/wall)."
"That is SO NOT RIGHT!" (Zim quote. X3)
"Yeah, sure, whatever." (another Zim quote. XD)
"Dude! That's, like, better than cheese! .... Almost!"
*running like Freakazoid and making funny noises* (okay..so it's not actually saying anything, but I do it just as often)
Title: Re: Catchphrases

"I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus, coo coo cachoo!" - I only started on that like a day ago.. Gah this song.. I love it. XD

*Laugh!!!*   :D

Well, this is interesting.   :)

I'm afraid I can't think of any...
I guess I say a few words a lot, but they aren't very funny, or interesting.   :P
(Interesting is actually one of them.)
Is it all right if I just put things I said recently in here, kinda like in Crazy Quotes?... only... what I said?
Title: Re: Catchphrases
Post by: Fox on January 06, 2008, 10:35:00 AM
*nod* You could do that. =3

.... Another:
*when I'm making a funny, squeaky noise with something* "Hehe..squeatchy, squeatchy, *repeats untill I stop*"

I annoy the heck outta people doing that. XD

Laugh!!!*   :D

Sound affects are fun...   ;D

Hm...
I hope this counts...
I wasn't really listening to the T.V. (being on the computer and all) and some woman said, "I live with my 80 year-old mother."
...
And I thought she said, "I live with my idiot mother."

XDDD

I like to shout "YOU ARE CORRECT, SIR!!" (even if I'm talking to a female. XD) I forgot where I got that from..seems like I always picture James Woods saying it, though. o.O
Title: Re: Catchphrases
Post by: Faith on January 08, 2008, 09:54:00 AM
Heh.   :)

Hm...

Apparently, last night I was talking in my sleep. My sister was hollering about something to my parents, and got a response from me, which was something to the effect of:
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry, I can't help it. This is my natural volume."
And then, I started repeating this sensible thing:
"Help me catch the corn!"

And then, the other night, my sister was cursing in her sleep... >.<

She said something colorful, and after a pause, said, "Touche. I never knew how to spell that... I don't know - - - *mumble mumble mumble....*"

I guess we're all a bunch of sleep-talkers...
Title: Re: Catchphrases
Post by: Fox on January 08, 2008, 10:01:00 AM
XDDD My grandma talks in her sleep. Which brings about another catchphrase from me....

"I just don't get corned beef and cabbage."

She's said everything from that, to "DON'T HIT THAT BIKE!" and "How many grapes were on the boat?" My personal favorite, though, is "And then Jason asked the three pigs to the ball, and the wolf drove them in his limo."

I have no idea what she was dreaming, but it sounded fun. XD

*Laugh!!!*   :D

If I can continue sharing sleep-talking events...
(I hope I haven't already put this somewhere on here...)

One night, when I was supposed to be asleep, my Dad woke up, and I ducked down on the floor, to avoid being noticed.
Then my sister, on the bottom bunk, so right next to me, at the time, said, "Faith!!..
(I'm using my Internet name.)
And I said, hesitantly, "...What?"
"Faith!!!..."
"What?"
"Why's everything out!?!"
"What!?!"
"The T.V.'s not on!!!...." *Snore...*

(I'm surprised my Dad didn't hear...

Edit: Horrible typo NEVER EXISTED.

Title: Re: Catchphrases
Post by: bloodreaper on January 16, 2008, 11:35:00 AM
I've got a few uncommon phrases I use.

For example:

"Blood!"
"Blood take it!"
"ARRRRR!" (more often since I started playing puzzle pirates, but I've always done it.)
"Blast this stupid Machine!" (Yelling at my computer)
and a wide variety of stupid webcomic quotes (the more obsucre the better.)
Title: Re: Catchphrases
Post by: Faith on January 16, 2008, 04:43:00 PM
Heh.   ;D

Hm...

Well...

This is almost a catchphrase...
I've said it twice, or maybe three times in the past few years, so...

When I think someone'll stand some teasing, (I only ever refereed to somebody else, with it, once... actually...) and they say something like "I need help." or they say something that sounds a sort of confession, I say something to the lines of, "Admitting it is the first step."

Well, it puts something in this post... >.<

Heh.   :)

Hm...

I looked up the description of a certain type of van, and mispronounced the words as I attempted to read some of the information aloud to my Mom... (I was trying to say minivan... >.<)
"...it has a gas mileage comparable to that of a miniman."
I'm not sure what it means... but it was weird.   :P
Title: Re: Catchphrases
Post by: Fox on January 20, 2008, 09:57:00 AM
"But it's even!"
Part of a Monk bit. I wish I could find that scene.

And hey, looky, looky..my post count is a nice, even number. X3

Hm..I've also been saying "IT'S AN ABOMINATION! A disrgrace to all mankind!!" lately. About what, exactly, God only knows. Usually a pizza I don't like.

"Beckon to trouble, and he may just come."

I used to say that an awful lot more than I do of late, though.
Title: Re: Catchphrases
Post by: bloodreaper on January 22, 2008, 12:12:00 PM
"I completely agree!" (said in aninfomercial announcer voice.) It's from an old kids camp skit about Jabba the Hut.

"This is an abomination!" I just feel that way about a lot of things.

Heh.   :D

Huh...

Hm...

I really haven't been that interesting of late. >.<

Mostly have said some weird things like -

"It glows in the dark!

"What exactly is a muffin?..."

"When did Bloodreaper devour a child?...." O.O

"I'm doomed!"

(P.S. - the last two aren't related... I hope... wait, am I still considered a child? Or am I just a teen now?... I don't know... that's kinda sad... I just keep on hearing mixed reasoning!!!)

Well, yeah - mostly just weird...

Not a phrase per se, but how I've been describing my stomach:
"Like this: *makes funny squeezy movement with hand* Skweegy, skweegy...."

Now all my doctors ae doing it. XDDD

Heh.   :)

I can now imagine crowds of doctors, running through a hospital impersonating a wind-shield wiper...
(That's what your stomached-thing sounded like, to me, Fox.)   ;D

What exactly do you have?
I thought you had gotten over that one illness...
Title: Re: Catchphrases
Post by: Fox on January 26, 2008, 03:45:00 PM
No. That's why it's so alarming to everybody. I had a blood test done, and yesterday the nurse called and said, according to that, I'm fine. So if I'm not better by Wednesday, my stomach's gonna have to smile for mr. Endoscope. >.<

antidisastablishmentariianism isn't a word, actually.  Though antidisestablishmentarianism is.  You misspelled it, despite your claim otherwise.

Sorry, I just do these things.  Please don't take it personally in any way, shape or form.

I didn't really try to read it... I was just skimming through, towards the end, I admit...

2: l33t, in English, pretty much just means "hacker talk", as my dad put it. It's a nerd/gamer thing.

"w00t" is a term said by gamers/coders/hackers as a victory shout. Complete a level, "w00t!", successfully hack or code something, "w00t!"......finish an entire cabanara-style medium sized pizza by yourself, "w00t!"

Wait... what's so good/bad about that language and what is it used for?
Sorry to keep it up... I have no clue about it, so I don't get why some of you like it or hate it, or what it's for.
Last question though - honest.

Title: Re: Catchphrases
Post by: Dragyn on March 15, 2008, 10:22:00 AM
Questions are fine.  I dislike LEET because I consider it a mockery of actual languages.  Some people disagree, and they're entitled to that.

I also can't read it without getting a headache, since it has no actual rules to follow, so people tend to just make it up as they go.  Ergo, it is banned, here.

@MrldDragon:  I tend to call you MrldDragon because I find the name "Dragon" too similar to "Dragyn" so I use your full screen name to help prevent confusion.  If you'd prefer, I could just call you Mrld, though I don't think I'll be calling you "Dragon."

Yeah. 'Tis interesting how that goes...
But then, people like animals. ^_^
(I do, anyway... but then, my name isn't that of an animal.   ;D  )

Well, actually, isn't the "rat" (gee, that sounds nice...) actually called Ratslayer?
Okay... so he doesn't like animals...

Title: Re: Catchphrases
Post by: bloodreaper on April 07, 2008, 02:25:00 PM
Willow is one of George Lucas' lesser know works.

Willow is a little gnome thing who wants to be a great magician and battle dark lords but he has a lack of confidence, so naturally it turns out that he is destined to to save the world from a female version of Emperor Palpatine with cooler powers. He defeats her using slight of hand tricks.

Other major characters include Mad Martigan (Han Solo as a red bearded swordsman) and the Empresses daughter who has a sword with another sword that springs out to form a double sword. She betrays her mother to be with Martigan, making her an amalgam of Princess Leia and Darth Maul.

The movie is actually not horrible, but the only scene that approaches greatness is when Willow uses his awesomely powerful wand (which he can't really control yet, of course) to transform a charging troll into a gigantic fire-breathing dragon thing, which easily out paces the empress and her dark knight (who has a mask that looks like a skull and killed Martigan's father or something like that) as the most visually impressive villian, and the most climactic fight scene.

Obi-Wan is also a chick, but she spends most of the movie polymorphed into a talking goat that shouts "Willow! Use the wand!"

I am not making this up.
Title: Re: Catchphrases
Post by: Dragyn on April 07, 2008, 02:48:00 PM
Huh...in all of that, all I find myself wanting to say, is that it's "sleight of hand" not "slight of hand."  Slight of hand would mean he's got little hands...
Title: Re: Catchphrases
Post by: Fox on April 07, 2008, 02:55:00 PM
Wow. Never heard it described like that. XD

You left out some very important details, though.

Plot: It starts out in a prison thing. The evil sorceress has imprisoned many pregnant women, becuase there was a prophecy that a young girl would be born and put an end to her evil reign. So! Somebody took the baby and put her in a basket & in the river a-la "Moses". The baby floated downstream and was found by Willow & his family. Willow himself wishes to become a wizard someday, but is doomed to a life of farming. When the baby is found, his villiage makes him take her back because she isn't like them. That's how the adventure starts. Eventually, he teams up with Madmartigan & two Brownies on their way to find the sorceress that the evil gal banished. So yeah. It's a really, really cool movie and definately worth watching.

He does have little hands; he's a Gnome, bro.

Seriously, it is a good movie, but nobody really watches it for the plot.

Fun characters and good visuals are worth a thousand plots.

I'll have to take your word for it, once again.   :)
Sounds interesting...

Heh... I'm sorry, but I find the little hands bit extremely amusing...   ;D

I can't figure out if it's better, worse pr simply ironic that I'm such a bad typist and yet find typos so hilarious...
