Okay,I admit it.I'm bored.What are you people playing?As for me,I'm currently hooked on Sonic Gems Collection,mostly Sonic CD and Sonic R.

I beat Sonic R, already. I was unimpressed with Sonic CD. I've been spending more of my time drawing and reading webcomics of late, though.
When I do play games, though, I've been playing Ristar on the Sonic Mega Collection.

Meh.I like Sonic CD,the old Sonics are fun,and *coughIt'sgotMechainitcough*.
Also playing Ratchet and Clank:Up Your Arsenal.
Forgot to mention I'm trying to unlock all the characters for Sonic R.

I've never played any Ratchet and Clank, so I can't really judge it.

It's been a while since I played the PSX version of Tactics. I've been playing Advance of late, so I can't really remember quite how everything worked.

Eheheh.I decided to dig up Sonic Heroes [never finished it] today.geeze,I hate how you have to finish all those stories to get to the final one.Especially the Chaotix,I hate their levels.

I beat that one. It's an awful lot better than Shadow the Hedgehog...
I didn't mind the Chaotix levels...except for the "Find the Hermit Crabs" levels.
I still need to get all A's, though...

My freind has STH.It's pretty good.*shrug*But I just hate it in Heroes when you go off a ramp or something and completely miss the platform.I play it with Japanese voices/English subtitles,'cuz the Japanese voices are better.But it's so darn funny hearing robots talk in Japanese for some reason...

I haven't played most games, because we don't have most games. Though we do have some games for a gameboy advanced, it had been unusable for a year, but now that it's working, we do have some games to play.

My Gameboy Advance is [to say the least] abused. I'm suprised/glad it still even works. Which is a good thing, 'cause I'm currently enjouying Final Fantasy I for the Gameboy. But ya' know what's annoying? All the good games are coming out on different consoles. [blahblahblah.]

Hahah, gamer-types. I'm glad I still have some Christmas money. Why, you may ask? 'Cause I can afford an Action Replay for mah gamecube. Whatchya' do with it is go find some codes for whatever game you're playing, and enter it into the Action Replay, and POOF. Enhanced gameplay. I'll probably just use it to play 1p levels as other characters in SA2B[Sonic Adventure 2:Battle] though.

I don't have many things to make me a "gamer type." There's the Internet, which we got around early last year sometime, other than that my sister's always on the game boy advanced, it's like her fingers are glued to it, so I never really get to use it. Therefore, usually I try to go on walks, read books, draw, listen to music, make some some strange sounds with my new guitar that are actually supposed to sound like music, take on new projects, or sit in my room and make plans for what I'm going to do next.

Most of the background ads in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle are ads for old Sega Genesis eregames. I'd suggest you look for it and an emulator on the internet.
(an emulator is a program that simulates a certain gaming console, in case anyone doesn't know)

Looks like Nights: Into Dreams was a game for the Sega Saturn, which died before many people knew it existed. You can buy it and a Saturn online if you know where to look

I can't save money at certain times of the year. Though I've been trying for years. :D I lose it all when I lend my parents or other people money, my friend's or family member's birthdays come along, or during holidays.

I lose it paying for school lunch, mostly. I think my Action Replay came yesterday, but it was too cold to go check the mail AND pick up a package from the office.

Yeah, that's strange... I got sick for almost a week earlier this year and they didn't take away my free lunch. Did your parents start making more money while you were sick or something? The school only gives me free lunch 'cuz we can't afford two dollars every school day, so if my parents started making more money, I'd have to pay two dollars for every lunch; or bring my own lunch.

I think it was a month or something, but I think it was because there was no point if I wasn't gonna be there. Ends up bein' three or so dollars a day, since they have breakfast in the mornings and then lunch. Cereal at home every day's just boring.

AR= Action Replay. It's a device that hooks up to your gaming console and can be used to "cheat" to get/do things that you normally couldn't. She used her AR to unlock a level that's really hard to get, normally.

Ratchet and Clank is another video game series. I've never played it, so that's about all I can tell you.
I know that song! Weird Al Yankovich...pure madness. He's gotten worse, of late. I like his early work best.

I am playing this game called Gold Miner.... quite fun actually. :D
You have to control this swingy thing with the arrow keys and pick up gol with it and if you get alot of gold you get prizes and stuff. ;D

Hm..well..it's kinda like Tekken. Or, any other fighting game, really. It's only for PS2/X-Box, though. (I had to steal my uncle's PS2. XD) You can be all these nifty creatures like the Dragon King(and a half-dragon), and zombies, and freaky weird looking demon type things, but best of all NINJAS OF EVERY KIND! ~glee~ *cough* Yeah. Just a fighting game. The "create-a-fighter" feature is definately my favorite part, though. =3

Another nifty feature is the blood level. I can turn it completely off..which is good 'cause I have a bit of a phobia. XP But yeah. You can turn all the "M" stuff off.

The amount of blood that get's splattered when you hit an opponent. One of the many things I hold against MK.

Hm... blood and gore are not really upsetting to me... but not appealing, either. And I don't know why someone would be particularly intrigued by it...
Also, most things that boast about how much blood is in their images, have some really unimaginable, and unrealistic, fountains of blood that just irritate me.
I wonder, also, why some people have a tendency of playing these games, and then calling others morbid....
Sorry... in a bit of an odd state of mind. Feeling quite debatable... but only with myself. Now, before I start doing something crazy like arguing against myself for the other point in this(no I don't know why I would do that, either) I'll wrap it up...

XD It stands for "mature". Like I said, though, it has a feature to turn all the blood & fatalities and stuff off. I just can't handle any game with large amounts of blood & gore, but I like fighting games.
This particular one has a racing mini-game, too. =D FUN.

I've just finished up Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland for the umpteenth time. And I beat the Meta Knight mode in just over an hour. I was so proud of myself. It always strikes me as odd how much more fun it is to play as Meta Knight than as Kirby. Kinda ruins going back to play the regular game.
I'm currently "playing" Brain Age. It makes me feel stupid on occasion, but that's okay. I do simple math a lot faster than I used to.

I got a new game on Brain Age. Finally.
I wish I had more GBA Kirby games, though. Having gotten good at the controls on that particular series, I find I want another version of it with a different "storyline" and new levels. I only have Nightmare in Dreamland. Anyone have suggestions?

Wii is the new Nintendo game console. It's... really something.
The 360 is the newest Xbox, was basically a slight tuneup to the old model. A great disappointment to many gamers, but that console runs Halo, so people will buy it, if only for that.
Spirit, if you've beaten any Pokemon games, you already know how to win Pearl or Diamond. They can't come up with a new plot for beans.

Some people like the newer Pokèmon. I'm no fan of that series, as I prefer Zelda and suchlike.
Also, they dubbed it 360 for the same reason Nintendo originally called the Wii the Revolution: they claimed it would "turn around (360º)" the gaming industry."

A'right, let's have a stupid-off to prove that one can be stupid on occasion and yet relatively smart the rest of the time.
So one day I went with my roommate to eat lunch. We split ways to go meander around and get food. I got all my food after a bit and went to find my roomie. Couldn't find them for the life of me, so I went to sit down near some people I knew. As I sat down, I asked, "So, anyone seen my roomie?" The entire table immediately exploded with laughter and I looked up to see that my roommate was sitting right across from me. I'd managed to not only walk right past them, but sit down across from them and completely miss them.
And yet, on any given day, I'm usually quite intelligent. Go figure.

One time I put a bucket on my head and ran around in circles until I ran into the side-view mirror on the van in my yard, and fell back wards!!!
(The mirror was directly at head level, and my sister was in the van watching me run in circles, and then crash right in front of her.)

Mmm.... 'kay, my turn.. how about the recent unfortunate occurrence? So I was visiting a friend's dorm, and I happened to find a stretchy elastic band thing. So, first impulse is to shoot it at my friend. So I do, and I miss badly. I start to leave when he pulls out a finger dart (rocket shaped and definitely more aerodynamic). I note this and begin to run, and by default head for the way out, which happens to be down a flight of stairs.
...you can kinda tell where this is going. So as I'm headed down the stairs at high speed, I feel the dart hit my backside at the same instant that one of my feet gets caught on something. So I throw my arms out to cushion my imminent fall, which works nicely except for the fact that once I landed, I was bleeding from the plastic that coats the corners of the stairs.
Not only did I completely fail to avoid the dart, I got a nice burn and bleeding cut down my arm.

One day while I was at school, tossing a ball back and forth among my friends during extra time in my lunch-break and the ball went under the bleachers. There were very few other balls that were not in use, since there were many times more children than there were balls, so I was determined to get it back. Without telling my friends, I tried to get into the small space to which the ball had disappeared. It was a tough fit, but I managed to cram myself in there somehow. Then, I triumphantly got the ball and tossed it out before beginning the difficult task of escaping.
I stuck my arms out awkwardly, and flailed about a bit to get my shoulders passed. Then is when it started to become really difficult. A small sound similar to a moan made in exasperated frustration came from me as I squirmed a little. I realized I was going to have to try harder to get out.
My feet pressed against the floor, and my hands firm on the bench to either side of me, I shoved viciously, and writhed about in my place of captivity. It was a little painful, seeing as wood is just not a comfortable thing to get stuck in.
I got to my waist, and freedom seemed just reachable... and then, as I tried a few more lively attempts at releasing myself from the hungry maw of the bleachers, it dawned on me that I wasn't getting anywhere.
My friends had then noted my predicament, and came to my aid. Sadly, we agreed, there was no way out other than force, unless we got someone to come and pull out the bleachers. I was reluctant to accept that sort of attention, seeing as how it would bring more than too many people I did not know to watch me. So force it was. I'm still not sure whether I should have regretted that choice...
I thrashed about a bit before drawing a crowd. I looked up feebly at all my peers... I felt like the animal with it's leg caught in the trap, looking up at the hunter as he neared with his rifle.
As if that wasn't bad enough, out of the corner of my eye, I saw the principle coming to the scene. It was like hearing the *chink* of the rifle as the hunter prepared for a shot. Then, to avoid looking down the barrel of the ominous weapon, I secreted a hopeful glance to my friends.
They were conspiring.
Too late, though, for the principle soon towered over the crowd, and me.
"Aw darn..."
He insisted on watching the seen, as well. He didn't even bother shooing away the crowd... and now I wonder if he was just as amused as the students... must've gotten a kick out of watching my friend's plan unravel. It was a rather simple plan, and I think that they were simply conversing about the comical moment, during the otherwise quite boring school day, considering how long it took them to come about their actions.
A friend or so griping one of my hands, I was to give a shove with my legs while they tried to drag me out. Easy, right? Define easy...
I kick and thrashed for a moment, and felt it as my friends tried to pull me out. I'm not sure how aware of how close they were to pulling me apart, instead...
A couple of tries earned me my freedom, and the strange feeling that I had been tied to two horses galloping in different directions.

My mom just announced that we are now having dinner, and I've been really hungry.
First:
We're having breakfast for dinner, and there was a lovely pile of sizzling potatoes on the hot surface, and reached in to grab some...
Second:
I could not find the syrup in the refrigerator. That may be because it is currently labeled as Carrot Juice... but I should be used to this, by now.
Third:
When I finally got the syrup, I tried to put a bit on my pancakes, and thought it would come out like honey does... yeah... it didn't.
Fourth:
After drowning my food in syrup, it started seeping over the plate. I quick, picked it up and tried to slurp it before it got everywhere.
Fifth:
After realizing just how overly sweet plain syrup actually is, I sputtered all over the place.
Sixth:
Once it was cleaned up, I tried to get some salt. While trying to pop off the cap with my thumb, I pressed a little to hard. This resulted in the cap flying across ed the room into a frying pan.
That good and dumb? ;D

So im going crazy and everyone is looking at me. Then I stop and see that everyone is staring. I didn't care and I might even do it again.

She left my sister and I alone with the cart, to get something. When she returned, she said something really quiet, and muffled, sounding like, "Who moved the bag of candy."
My sister and I shook our heads, fearfully.
She repeated herself. and earned the same response, with the words, "No!" and "Not me!"
She was getting fairly annoyed, now, and said it louder, "Would someone please move the bag of candy?!"
We felt pretty dumb after that...

I think I've walked right into a pillar and bounced off before. I was trying to talk to someone behind me to the left and wasn't looking, and I sorta hit stomach first and bounced backwards. I forget whether I actually bounced hard enough to fall, but the person I was speaking to was definitely not paying attention to what I was saying after that.

I'm horrible when it comes to sports. But my Gym teachers seem to not care much about this fact, since they keep telling me to participate, despite the danger it puts everyone else, and myself, in.
I recall, particularly well at the moment, a time we were covering some game... I believe it was called speed ball, or something along those lines, similar to soccer and football in many ways. We were playing this game with flags, and I was trying my best to become accustomed to them, and use them to my advantage.
I received poor results from my attempts.
While a fellow student ran past me, ball in hand, I reached out to grab one of the bright, yellow flags attached to the belt she wore ("'Cuz the velcro!" Some may not get that reference... I believe I worded it wrong, anyway) and felt triumphant, even, knowing even I should be able to master this feat with ease, and then it all went awry...
I grabbed, frantically, as the other ran by me, and grabbed the wrong thing.
Lurching forward, as the owner of the belt I had a grip on continued trying to run away, I realized my mistake.
Now, I do not put quite as much effort into participation of the flag-bearing games. I'm afraid it is all too likely of me to grab the belt, rather than the flag, once more... :P
I'd give Arcblade 3. :)

Well, here's another recent one:
This takes place today, actually. My bus pulls off to the side of the road to pick us (the others at the stop, including my sister, and myself) up, and drop us off, for safety, I suppose. When the bus pulls back onto the road, after any traffic has passed, I generally look back to wave good bye to my friend, when she's on the bus, and today, I attempted to do so.
I twisted about while walking away, and threw my arm into the air to wave. This might have been done, gracefully, by others, but, I, instead, ended out kicking the heel of my right foot out from under me, and being pulled down by the weight of my pack, to land on my back in the middle of the road. Then I stayed, sprawled out there, laughing my head off.
I must wonder what my friend saw... as I turned around, smiling, before falling backward, with one of those usually comical looks of shock on my face. :P

I had a repeat incident of my earlier idiocy with asking where someone was while they were in the general area. I was looking for my friend Avery, since I hadn't seen him all day. Sorta asked "has anyone seen Avery?" just as he walked up and sat down at the dinner table.
Oh, earlier today I tripped over my own feet on a perfectly level sidewalk. I was soooo proud of myself. >_>

We sorta decorated our room for Halloween, and my roommate's idea was to cut up a garbage bag into streamers and paste it over the door. So now I keep forgetting to duck when I walk through, and today I was conveniently inhaling as I walked, so...
*snort* COUGHHACKCOUGHCOUGH (bats at the trailing streamers and stumbles into the hallway)

Today, while driving my roommate back from the pharmacy, I stopped at a traffic light that just so happened to be right near the sun. So I squinted up at the traffic light, trying not to get blinded, waiting for it to turn green.
I did this for about two minutes, until I realized two things. One, I was waiting to turn right. And two, there is right turn on red. As soon as I realized this and began to turn, the light turned green.
I then turned into a portion of the road that appeared to be a lane, but wasn't a lane and ended rather suddenly several hundred feet ahead, which resulted in a very hasty and slightly dangerous lane shift.
End.

I looked back, and it was silent for a few seconds, as everyone just looked at me.

Oh, quite common on the Internet.
I am known by many names, but the most common are: Arcblade, Arc Moonblade, Sabir, and Musica. The first is short for the second, but you probably realizied that.
How the second name came to be is an interesting story, but I digress. Of the four, I think Musica is the only gender obvious name, and it's vaguely feminine. Which is perhaps why I only use it occasionally.
No, generally I don't care enough to bother explaining whether I'm male or female. People on the Internet will treat you as male by default unless they figure out otherwise or don't care enough to think about it. I've done this kinda thing... thrice now, I guess. I figured I might get some amusement and some interesting reactions with the truth. Stupid points for all, y'know?

I don't think I ever pick a feminine name....maybe on the rare occasion. About 95% of the names I choose are my character's names. The only others are Gruetzner Chihuahua, SuperScoobyGirl, and Oogie Boogie. Gruetzner's and Taqueria Chihuahua are places in Giddings, and combining the two just sounded fun. XD Oogie Boogie was at RPU, but only because I made a rule about moderaters changing their names, and it'd be kinda awkward if I broke it myself. SSG..because..well..I consider myself the world's biggest Scooby fan. ^__^ Had lots of stuff custom made for me, and I know pretty much everything there is to know about anything Scooby related.
Other names are all OC names. Invader Fox/Fox, Aara, Velociraptor, Gavial, Alex, OddBall/Sydney, Pooky, PyroKat/pk1337, Fuego and Jax/Jax the Dragonslayer are the most common ones. I usually just tend to stick with Invader Fox, pk1337 and OddBall, though.

His part has yet to be completely decided. He's one of those characters whose influence is a bit of a wild card. There are some fairly important things he'll do, but we'll see (both ya'll and I) whether or not he ends up doing more than just those.

Major characters, I'd guess only about 15, and some of them will likely end up being amalgamated with each other to keep things simple.

I...don't recall having said that. A lot of the ones who exist as random sketches are werewolves, though only a very few of the actual characters are. I try to keep them diverse, for varying reasons.
Though, yes. A lot of characters tend to exist as sketches, and sketches only. I like to draw cool characters, but if I made 'em all into characters, there wouldn't be any room for a plot.

I have to put in a request for Stupid points.
So, there's a blood drive here at college, and I always try to give blood because people need it and my type is O+, which can be used on almost anyone. So I cheerfully donated on the first day. However, I completely forgot that not only did I have to run the day after, but that it was a test day. So I drained myself of a pint of blood just in time to test poorly in my running class and nearly pass out for the effort. To top it off, I only got 5 hours of sleep thanks to freerice.com
I did earn about 10,700 grains of rice, though.

There are (counts quickly) 4 main blood types, each of which has two subcategories. The types are: A, B, AB and O. Each can be either positive or negative, signaling the presence or absence of something in the blood that I have forgotten about.
A and B are cooperately dominant over O. To find out what blood type you have, you can either try to predict from your parents' blood types, or give blood yourself and they will tell you. Honestly, I don't like needles much at all. I think I'm getting fear of needles, since they usually have to go through both arms to get a decent vein. I have tiny veins. Ugh... (sighs) But I have O+ blood... People need it. So it's donated.

The stockpile of blood is low pretty much everywhere. Even if there were a lot of people donating, they'd still need your blood. Consider all the blood types.
The jabbing, yes. They generally have to root around in one arm for awhile, fruitlessly searching for the vein, before giving up and trying the other one. It's painful and frustrating. That's my veins for you. Most people don't have my problem, thankfully.
Also, I suspect I don't like seeing my body any differently than I see it normally. I don't and won't look at the needle sticking out of my arm because I find it disgusting. Also, I tend not to look at the blood bag or the tubing, although sometimes I do out of sheer boredom.

Bleh...I dinnae' like the needles. The loss of blood is common, for me...I've an inability to do anything without injuring myself, it seems. I suppose the reason I don't is the needles...'cuz they always end up poking me in both arms, too.

Blood loss... well, does it matter? I'll be fine, without some of my blood... I thought it might not be needed if there was enough, without my own donation, but I guess there's a shortage, so... have at, world.
And, apparently, I have the ability to withstand a good deal of pain... along with temperature, thought that's somewhat unnecessary information... so I guess that the needle and the jabbing won't be too bothersome, even if I do have 'small veins.'
My only imagined problem (since I've never actually done it) would be being in the midst of a bunch of strangers, and then letting another stranger mess with me while I have to just sit there and take it. As I said, above... I'm not social... and I have this thing about personal space when it comes to strangers... with people I know, like or trust or small children, it's usually not too much of a problem... little kids and my friends/family hang off of me, sit on me, mess with me, or whatever all the time... if they're too annoying for me, I'll tell 'em off... but I guess it's usually okay... and I actually like being close with some people...
It's just this thing about strangers, that are, generally, no longer in elementary... I have a need for space, from them.
Does anybody know what I'm talking about?
Or am I just nuts?.. :P

Unless you're really active (ie running or hard exercise) you probably won't notice the lack of blood much. Your body has a good several gallons, I believe, and you're giving just a pint.
Personal space makes sense. I'm generally so apathetic to people that it doesn't matter to me.

Fellow gamers, I have been busy.
I just got's me some Warhammer 40k: Squad Commander for ye olde PSP.
For an old Space Hulk and Laser Squad fan like me this is a wonderful thing indeed, but I don't know yet wether it has enough length or weight to be more than a niche market title.
I are liking it anyway.
Aedis Eclipse is cool. It's a sequel to a game called Spectral Souls, but the two have almost nothing in common.
First of all, Aedis Eclipse is not broken beyond usability by multi-minute loading screens for every ten seconds of gameplay.
Alas, a lot of the cool mechanics and precice turn based controls from the firsts game have been removed in favor of a more hands off real time battle, where the idiocy of your AI controlled subordinates seems to know no limit. Fortunately, area of effect attacks can no longer harm friendlies, because, while it made the first game so much more tactical, it would render all AoE characters unuasable because your idiot minions insist on clustering as tightly together as possible around any high priority target, preventing your actual damage dealers from getting in position until they have all been slaughtered.
It's a fun, deep and interesting game to be sure, but it's occasionally extreamely frustrating and disappointing, for those of us who wanted the precice, lethal, controlled combat of SS without the horrible loading every time anyone did anything that caused a sprite to move.
Plus, my bro got himself a PSP so we can play Darksalkers against each other. Until I find a way to get onto the global network with my PSP, my brothers will probably be the best opponents I'll be able to find.
--Which is good because I can barely manage Dark Force and a few simple combos, let alone all those fancy EX Special Combos with extra cheese and mutational capacity. Curse the slowness of these creaky thumbs and the way they force me to use primarily Normal attacks.

Geez..I'm missing out on a lot of neat PSP games. I never, ever buy a game unless I rent it, first. The problem is that Blockbuster seems to have very little PSP choices, and the ones they have aren't the ones I want. T.T

Hardly any. I'm more of a Crash Bandicoot/Spyro the Dragon person. Though, other games include: Darkened Skye, Starfox Adventures, Bejeweled2, Mahjong and any old arcade game such as Tetris and Centipede.
So any games with puzzles in it, I'm sure I'll like.

I don't get to play many games... I don't have much of a variety, other than what's on the Internet, and I've stopped playing so many of those, since school's started. Besides, they tend to take up too much space on our computer. :P
I've got to get off, now. My sister's back, and she gets the computer 'cuz she's doing homework. :P

My joints are getting old early. It's a bad thing indeed for a gamer/programmer like myself. --Particularly ones that winter in the frozen north.
As for not buying games you haven't rented, you could just buy console games from a Game Stop. If you buy used (which is usually a good deal, even if the manual is lost) you can return the game in within seven days for a full refund, because you don't like it or because it was broken or whatever. Used gamestop titles are my go to for PSP. Naturally, you can't return new games, since they are now pre-owned, but you can sell them back for a decent price, unless they are on disks that have commonly available burners like CD or DVD. They still take UMDs, though.
Squad Command was good while it lasted, but it needed one more level, where I go to fight the Greater Deamon from the endgame cutscene. He was the only bad guy who got any decent buildup and just when I thought I was gonna get to kill him, he went and exploded on me. Lame.
They didn't pull that stunt with Dawn of War. I got to fight all three Greater Demons and then I got to argue with Khorne, God of Blood, who sits on the Skull Throne. Then my dude swore to come back and kill Khorne personally, when it was more convenient, which is big words when you are the size of a dude's smallest tooth. That was an ending.
For PSP titles that get a more hearty recommendation, I'd have to go with Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, and Metal Gear Acid^2. They are trippy Konami Games, but they are a lot of fun and they have actual dramatic climaxes. For those with infinite time and similar amounts of patience, Spectral Souls gets a big point, but fellow mortals are warned away. I can recommend Dracula X Cronicles, even though I don't have it, because I love Symphony of the Night madly and have wanted the complete edition for years. That alone might be worth your cash, but the addition of Rondo of Blood (Which numerous Japanese speaking gamers assure me is awesome) in actual English is a deal maker.

I've enjoyed Art, and Psychology. English has been pretty good, though there are a few points of "meh."

I'm a Psych major. I've generally enjoyed my Into to Psych class. Didn't fall asleep in it much, which is a start. Classical Mythology was either boring or fun on lecture days, but the tests and now the final are being massive pains in the arse. Foundations of Information Technology was mostly review, but I knew I wasn't going to be able to pass the test-out exam anyway. Prelude (specific to my college only) was a waste of time.
Japanese 101... I like Japanese anime, but I could not help sleeping through about a quarter of the class every now and then. It's not like I could keep up with how fast my prof talks, anyway... Jogging was good, except when it was freezing cold. Voice lessons sucked. They're done. As is Studio for Voice. No comments other than good riddance.
I think I had two more classes, but they do not readily come to mind.

My own father is a genius in his field. Solves major problems, invents new things, and works his arse off every day. He makes a ton of money for whatever company he's at. And yet, put him outside of work and have him fend for himself? He's incompetent. Brilliant man, next to helpless in the world.

Lair is a dragon game. Basically just burn and eat people. XD Heavenly Sword is a mythology-type game. You try to keep a sword forged by the gods away from a lusting king, but you have to use it in order to do that; even if it means you die because of it.
Life-force-draining weapons are fun. =3

Really, the only new console I want is a Wii, so I can play a certain sequel to a certain really old game. Cough cough. Currently I have a Gamecube, PS2, PSP and a Gameboy. I've dropped the gameboy.. well.. a lot.. and it's screen has a bunch of scratches on it.. but it still works like new!
Also, I'm playing Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal on challenge mode. Hehehe, Nefarious is probably my.. second.. favorite villain at this point.

Gamecube was Nintendo's flop a few years back. Although it wasn't popular, I really liked it better than the other consoles at the time. PS = Playstation.
I really wanted the Playstation 3 for all it's other features, more-so than the games. XD I mean..come on. Internet, movies, downloadable games. To top that off..you can hook up printers and keyboards and such. Plus! There's always the fact it can play CDs. (but there again, the original Playstation could do that) The neatest thing, to me, is the fact that you can hook yer camera to it via USB and copy/move pictures to it and such. X3

All my computer time has been going into Skies of Arcadia and UFO: Afterlight.
X-COM fans won't feel betrayed by the UFO series, it's glitzier and more proactive, but the soul still burns. Microprose is dead, but their legacy lives on in ourt hearts.
Arcadia is an older game available for dreamcast of Camecube. It is full of stuff to do and places to go. It also has a really cool plot, if you're the kind of person who wastes him time on that sort of thing.

X-COM is an old(er) game wherein you fought off aliens, and UFO:Afterlight is a sort-of sequel, made by a different company. X-COM was made by Micropose, a company which no longer exists.
I'm pretty sure he meant "Dreamcast or Gamecube. Skies of Arcadia is a great game, which was made for the Sega Dreamcast console. It's been re-released for the Nintendo Gamecube.
Hmm...I think that covers it all.

UFO is not a sequel to X-COM it's plot does not pick up the Marsec universe and tell us what happens next. For that you need Laser Squad: Nemesis, which I haven't played and probably never will, because it has an annual fee.
UFO has it's own story and characters, even if all the races were ripped off from X-COM. (The Sectoids are now called reticulans, the cult of Sirrius is now the Servants, and the Blue guys from XCOM3(name?) are now called beastmen and they wear red) The Marsec M-2000 is now a Laputan F-2000, but it does the same thing etc. Really UFO is much more refined and holds to the tradition of making the graphics as good as the technology of the day will handle without a brand new machine, and keeping the gameplay cutting edge, but it is it's own thing. Really calling the thing UFO and talking about how they are the spiritual heirs of X-COM would be dishonest if the soul of the original wasn't so tightly woven into their work. Capturing aliens has gotten harder and requires a deliberate effort, which is good, but the overall difficulty has gone down and the plot twists have gotten better and more numerous, which is excellent. The player characters have actual personalities and relationships and the plot is vast confusing and satisfying, making it like a blend of Jagged Alliance(another great Microprose series) and X-COM on modern hardware.
It's a dream game really.

The latter. XP You have to carefully time your moves to break apart her wave attacks(waves..I mean that literally), then you have to get to her fast enough to sap enough energy to do ANOTHER carefully timed series of attacks. You do this three times, but the only one who's health regenerates is the boss. >.<
Flying Fox was fairly easy, though. He was just a "beat the crap out of him 'till it tells you to stop". XD

Generally, I think you just hit "Prnt Scrn" on your keyboard, and it puts it on your hard drive, somewhere...

It copies the page, so you have to go into Paint or something and "paste" it in there.
As for video screencaps..I dunno how to get those. In good quality, I mean. I guess you just record the game(via VHS or DVD), put it on your computer and get it from there? Seems like it would take so much effort just to get a screencap, though....

First off, this game is fun and the person who made it and maintains it seems to be a decent guy trying to keep an indy MMO in the black in a world were that isn't generally believed to be feasable. Indy MMOs are things you spend money to make, not something you normally make a living on. I enjoy killing bandits for XP, mining ore and cusomising my fleet of battlemechs.
Then the downside.
Registering this game will cost you money. There are measures in place to ensure you don't find out how much until your credit card is in your hand. I spent an hour trying to find this information and it doesn't appear in any of the FAQs of help files or service pages. Presumably if one where to click on the buy Tinybucks button, one might be told the price.
Moreover, Registering is called purchasing Paid Days, which can be done with Tinybucks which are bought with real money or earned in small increments by getting other players to sign up and buying products that the site advertises.
The name paid days implies that this is less of a registration fee than an ongoing service fee, but once again, detailed information in unavailable with a consistency that seems to imply deliberate misinformation.

Tinywars will cost you about $4 a month to play past level 5 if you buy in 30 day increments. However, if you buy 360 days at a time it costs about half that, $24 a year. That's a hard price to beat, until you consider that booster packs of blueprints will also cost you real money, unless you buy from other players in-game.
Construx packs go from $2 each down to 1.50 each, if you buy 32 at a time.

Disgea: I am the heir to the throne of the underworld, but an incompetent assasin put me in a coma for 2 years. Now I must reclaim my kingdom from the userpers, by recuiting diciples and crushing enemy and innocent alike beneath my war machine. Suffice it to say this game has a really warped sense of humor.

Review on Portal:
I knew it was a short game from readings on Wikipedia, but dang. It took longer to install the system requirements, video driver update, and the game itself than it did for me to reach Chamber 17.(out of 19...)
The puzzles are disapointingly easy. As such a hyped game, I expected it to be a bit more complex. However, it does take a few tries to actually execute the needed actions. So bonus for that.
The humor is good. Not nearly as funny as Darkened Skye, and that, also, was a bit dissapointing. Even though it doesn't match up to Skye, it's still got some darn funny bits. I find the signs particularly amusing.
The movement keys take a little getting used to. I like using the arrows on my keyboard, and using my left hand to control the mouse. I gave in and set it to default, though, and it seems to be growing on me.
Timing is key. I hate games where you have to time things perfectly. So far so good, but it's still annoying.
Overall, it's okay. Given the puzzles are much better in StarFox Adventures, it was worth trying out. That & I didn't actually buy it. My dad owed me money for buying Breanna's camera, so he bought that & called it even. I may or may not finish tomorrow. I have ADD, so when I can't get through a level within five minutes, I usually quit. Probably the only reason I still haven't finished the original Crash Bandicoot. >.> So..Portal's an okay game..one I might play more than once, but it was seriously overhyped.

The new Spyro games? If that's the case..you're one of only about 3 people I've met that liked them. :/ The Insomniac days were the best. A Hero's Tail was okay. Seriously....Sierra screwed up Spyro big time, and they're not making it any better by making the movie. :/

Sierra re-wrote Spyro's entire background, and are basically making it as though the other games never existed. No Hunter, no Gnasty Gnorc, no Ripto, and no dragon elders. Oh, save for the few elemental dragons. T_T So instead of Spyro being an accidental hero, as the original game implies, Spyro is now part of this ancient prophecy. Feh.
So I guess since Sierra's new games are a flop and are pretty much being boycotted by the original Spyro fans, they're trying to push it on us with the movie based on the new game trilogy. I don't care if Elijah Wood, David Spade, and Gary Oldman are voice-overs. It's. Just. Not. The. Same.
Yeah..I'm pretty ticked at Sierra. Don't even get me started on the new Crash games. >.<
Seriously. Don't screw with the classics. It really is starting to make me stop playing games, period. :/

Actually, I'm pretty sure Spyro is from an independent developer. I'd have to check to be sure, but...he's also shown up on various Nintendo platforms, so he's not their mascot, that's for sure.

Gex 3 is a Crash/Spyro-styled game for adults. (not sure how it goes for the other two..I've only played the third) The basic plot is this beautiful spy-like person gets stuck in the TV, and you, as Gex, have to get her out by travelling through TV channels and getting remotes. Silly concept..but I like some of the humor in it. Besides..he's a gecko! How can you not like a gecko? =D
It's an older Playstation game(1999), and silly as the plot is, it's a really fun game. I wouldn't suggest it, though, if you're uncomfortable with innuendo, extremely crude & dark humor..especially in a cartoony game such as this. Heh..^^;

I don't think I've played the second one..if I did, it was mny years ago. I played the first one on my uncle's Playstation when I was itty bitty & could barely grip the controller. XD Not sure if I ever rented the second or not, though. o.O The third is definately my favorite, though. (hacking it was fun, too..=D)

You still can. Gameshark is fun, too. Apparently, Gex 3 has a debug menu that's easy to hack.
Hit pause, go down to "exit", and hold down R2- ^, O, >, ^, <, >, v. After it's entered, hit Select during gameplay. You can do all sorts of cool, glitchy things..including giving yourself however many lives/remotes/coins/etc. you want.

I like having the bazooka in Crash 3, too. I just wish Crash Bash had some cheat codes....or I knew how to hack it with my Gameshark. 'Cause I've had it for 8 years and never unlocked more then six new levels...out of twelve. D= Now that's sad.

CRISIS CORE! For a week I have done little beyond play Crisis Core. It was spring break and the weather was lousy.
I shall review this game, but not score it. This is pure information without any editorial spin.
Combat system (90% of the game):
Imagine the FF7 ATB system without all those menus. ..well, with only one of those sub menus, and even less control over your Limit Breaks. Selecting Item gets you a list of the whole 10 combat-usable items in the game, but everything else is selected by simply using the shoulder buttons.
The arrows and the joystick control movement, and the X button causes your character to perform the action selected using the shoulder buttons. If you select Item, the menu changes and you can select from it, but the game still doesn't pause. That's right, Item Pause is gone. It wasn't me.
Since there's only one character in the "party" you wouldn't be able to save your overdrives anyway, so they go off as soon as you earn them. The game makes you invulnerable right before this happens and waits for any pending strikes to hit, so you aren't dropped back into the driver's seat in front of a Dark Firaga, that you would have otherwise avoided. If you go into Limit Verge, but don't actually get a Break, then you do get dropped back into the meat grinder.
Leveling up and materia growth are now tied to overdrives, appearently to to add another dimension to those old school "Beat the game under level 15, without using any materia or changing your equipment, and only use items outside of battle" challenges.
A Paper Mario-esque block/dodge system has been added. Holding block halves physical damage from the front arc, but rolling negates damage for a brief instant, and allows you to move in a quick burst, however rolling takes a whole half a second to recover from, so it can be over used or misused, in addition to requiring good timing. Some attacks can be evaded by simply running a good serpentine pattern, but the small battle maps make this a bit chancy.
You have much greater control over the precise positioning of your character. Where you are standing actually matters, because strikes from behind are now also, automatic critical hits, and you can dodge many attacks by moving out of the blast radius or the potential target area, before the charge time is up. Don't think this is anything like FFT though because things happen in essentially real time, and it's always your turn.
Even battles that used to consist entirely of pushing X until all those weaklings are dead are improved, since you can now dodge(scoring kills, without getting hit in between, nets you additional Soldier Points, which are essentially XP), and maneuver to a more advantageous position (sword slashes have an area of effect sweep, so you can group up your targets and keep them all staggered).
Character Progression: Character progression comes through using Limit Breaks, which come from fighting long battles and having SP. Every time you Limit Verge(which happens automatically, every few minutes of sustained combat, if you have any SP to consume, and represents a chance of one of you limit breaks going off), you have a chance of gaining a level or leveling up one of your materia. This chance actually increases when your roll a limit break.
If you run out of SP you can no longer limit verge. If that happens, kill some weak organic targets in a kill-combo, and you'll be back in business. The Curse status also stops the wheels of character progression and super moves from turning.
If you combo kill your enemies with any degree of consistency, your SP level will generally rise much faster than you can expend it. Enemies that take that long to kill are usually worth massive piles of SP. Barring that, after a certain plot point, you may convert spare materia into SP, instead of discarding it.
Instead of turning your extra materia into SP you can consume that extra SP by fusing materia. Materia fusion generally only increaces the stat bonus' provided by a materia, but some combinations will generate higher grade materia. i.e. two fires or a thunder and a blizzard will form a fira, and fusing an elemental attack with a status attack will yield the dark version of that elemental attack. Most of the better spells can only be got this way, and fusing mastered stat boosting materia is the only way to get ones that give considerable stat boosts. However, the potent materia that enhance the frequency of your limit breaks can appearently, only be bought from the "Research Department QMC+", and summon materia are actually rare "Items" simply add addtional overdrives to your Limit Verges if you have them in your inventory.
Story:
The story is overall less predictable than one normally expects from a prequel. Yes, most of the flashbacks in FF7 happen, and a few of them happen exactly the way Cloud remembers them, but an additional plot has been added, so players of the original game will have new things to see. Some familiar characters have been brought back to make cameos or star in side quests, including Tifa Lockheart, Cloud Strife, the Turks , the evil Doctor Hojo and the great SOLDIER hero Sephiroth, but most of the original cast is merely mentioned, occasionally by name. Familiar locations abound, and Zack's quests and missions will take him to a variety of familiar places, though we don't get to see much of many of them.
The main cast is about equal parts old and new characters. Soldiers 1st Class Angeal, Genesis and Sephiroth and their leader Director Lazard, are the major faces of the game, until Aerith (that's how their spelling it this time)and Cloud are introduced. Other than that the majority of the characters Zack meets are genaric villagers, or Shin-Ra SOLDIER or Security Operatives in face concealing uniforms. The Turks, particularly Tseng, get an allotment of camera time, and introduce a new face in the form of Cissnei, a new girl, who I gather has some relevance in another installment.

Though, I should point out that your claim is wrong. You can get the higher level materia without fusing anything, if you do all the sidequests...even your oh-so-precious "Dark" magics.

Just rented Turok, by the way. I usually avoid getting "M" games that have "language" tagged on the rating....but it looked too cool. So far, judging by the intro cut-scene, it reminds me a lot of Alien 3, for some reason. Anyway....the setting looks really neat. On a foreign planet with mutated dinosaur-looking creatures..so I'll get a review after a night of gameplay. x3

I played one of those Wal-mart Torok Demos once. The ones where you start out with all the cool weapons.
My Firestorm cannon was out of ammo before I got out of the first room.
Then I died, because the weapon I tried after that was some kind of deadly looking lightning dart pistol, but it only stuns enemies. I didn't realise until it was too late that I wasn't actually damaging those raptor-man aliens.

I got my hands around the "Stunt man: Ignition" demo the other day, and I'm not sorry.
I was really bad at it, but I had fun with it and I was really impressed with the mechanics and all the little bonuses you could shoot for.
Normally, I avoid any driving game that doesn't involve homing missiles or their koopa shell equivalents, but that demo rearranged my paradigm in a way that would never have happened if I was afraid of looking foolish.
It was a wake up call. Fun...without violence...
As for what I'm actually playing.. Disgea... and more Disgea. How does NIS manage to consistently produce only games that I either love of hate? There can be no middle ground with these guys.
For now, I love this game, in spite of it's occasional forays into extremely sophomoric humor. How can you not love this game and it's deeply shallow cast of characters?
I think the answer is that NIS embraces the niche developer role, and creates things that a select few will love and the majority will find tedious to the point of being torturous.
Disgea a tactical RPG with a level cap of 9,999, the ability to create and level up additional soldiers for your army, and a PSP vs. PSP multi-player option, so you can prove once and for all, who is the most efficient/ most obsessed power leveler. That is a sort of thing you either have to think of as heaven or hell, it can't just be an everyday, ho-hum kind of idea.
Plus the main character is the devil, but he's okay with that, and not really a horrible person when the chips are all on the table. This is worth points in my book, but not, I imagine, in your Sunday School teacher's.

I'm told that it means something like "I am the best lady ninja in the world!" or possibly just Japan. Apparently, only the Japan part is stated, but it's not like there are any Ichi in Peru.
I think it's one of those generic "cool" phrases that gets recycled until it's completely divorced from it's literal meaning. So, a better translation might be "Awesome Software", but I couldn't really say for certain, as I don't actually speak any Japanese.
Also, Disgea, grows ever more disturbing. Just when you think you've seen it all, it pulls out some kind of warped innuendo or anatomical joke, that shorts out your brain. I kind of though I was past the point were childish, toilet humor could disturb me, but I was so very wrong.

I'm sorry. It's quite late here and it seemed like a good idea at the time. Here's some actaul commnetary on games:
I've played a bit of the Astral Duel demo for the past week and the game seems pretty solid. It's not really possible to beat the higher levels without the registered version, because you have to play as the weakest class and the higher level features on the locked classes are mostly defenses that you can't overwhelm without huge monsters, which are also CPU only in the demo. Plus after 30 days it becomes unplayable, and I hate that so, I won't be registering this one. ..that and the card art is really low res. If I'm going to pay you for your work, I expect better quality work.
I've also been looking over the demos of some old Spidweb games that I missed back whne they were new enough not to hurt my eyes. Geneforge and Nethergate.
Nethergate is pretty much Exile, but with Celts and Romans fighting the Fey in Brittania instead of Lizardmen and Nephilim fighting the Vahanati in the Pit of Exile.
Geneforge also builds on the Exile engine, but the changes are actual improvements not just a flavor replacement. You get a single main character at the start of the game, but he quickly gains the ability to forge sentient creatures who serve as his loyal bodygaurds heavies and even hitmen. You can create a stable of up to seven of thse guys, but if you keep more than two on hand you seem to take an XP penalty for some stupid reason, so Absorbing your poke--I mean creations-- and building new ones for the task at hand, is a more viable stratagem.
The resemblance this beat up old game holds to pokemon is indeed chilling. The starting monster, the Fyora, makes it a constant battle not to name each freshly minted trooper "Charmander", and I don't even play Poke'mon.

I gave in and dubbed one Charmander, for it matters not in the long run. After Charmander died, I named the next one "Not Dead," and all was well again.
Of course, Not Dead eventually died, and had to be renamed post-mortem, but there wasn't any effort wasted in this.
Though yeah, Pokemon in Exile.

I actually bought Pokemon Diamond a couple of months ago. Yes, I'm lame. And then I cheated to get a Darkrai because I don't happen to live in Japan. Other than that, I'm actually trying to finish Final Fantasy VIII, but It's been a while since I played it and I really have no idea what to do now. Heh. So I've just been playing Death Jr II.

Thugs. Heavies are enforcer thugs. They are like the criminal equivilent of cops, enforcing the rules and edicts of whatever gang they work for. They're called that because they have to be bigger than the civilians/other criminals that they bully.
I want to pull out my old copy of Sigma Star Saga, but I can't find it. My GBAs are both acting funny anyway, so I guess I should probably emulate it, but that would take too much of my very limited internet time.
Stupid pirates making it hard for legit licence holders to download .gba files. Stupid ESA busting all the sites that offer such downloads, becasue they can't be expected to tell the differece between legit licence holders and pirates. Grrr.

If you own a game, you have a license to download/obtain another copy of said game, theoretically for backup or replacement. Unfortunately, anybody who offers to let you download a copy of a game you already own will probably get shut down by the ESA, since there's not really any way to tell whether the person downloading something is actually entitled to do so.

Hiring the ESA is the lawsuit equivalent of H-Bombing the entire globe to kill terrorists. You're not just hiring guys to shoot your enemies, you're hiring guys to shoot everyone, repeatedly, as often as possible. The war on piracy has become a free fire zone and the ESA is the only faction that stands to profit.
Anyway, I managed to get my rom, so I can play Sigma Star again, even if I need to collect all my guns again (of course I've got two of the items for the only combo I really use already, so no biggie.) It's time to see if this thing has an ending where at least one of the female leads survives. Not killing Blune might save me from having to kill Psyme, but I doubt it.
I wonder if I can let the zombies eat Scarlet, and how that would change the story. If she's going to die anyway, I'm not going to get in a hurry to save her.
Unfourtunately, I haven't played much, since I found an old pokemon rom in the emulation folder and I've taken it upon myself to see what the big deal is about one of the most popular RPGs of all time.

I don't think I really know the version you're playing... my sister used to play Pokemon games in our gameboys all the time, though... enough to where I recognize the name of the city and a number of characters, anyway.
Maybe I'll ask her about it.
(When I was little, I mainly just drew some of the neater-looking pokemon... it wasn't hard to impress me, then, for I was... <age here.> (I don't really know how old I was... I don't think I knew, then, either, most of the time. :P But the main point is that I was younger, then!)

I figured it out. The ship captain gives you one.
The game is actually pretty mechanically sound, even if it is geared toward the kid who can tell you the name of every dinosaur ever dug up and any statistic about it. Seriously, this game expects you to memorise not just what types do what, and who has them, but what every move in the game does to those types and what level each pokemon gains them at. Obsession is the way to get ahead in this game, and I don't want that level of committment.
Right now I'm looking at getting into BESM 3. It's a little different than the tabletop RPGs I know, but that's good. I love digesting new ideas, even if I never use them.
The Anime flavor is largely superfluous. If you're trying to build a system that can emulate any society that ever appeared in an anime, you've got to have a system that does just about anything.
The biggest problem I've had pointed out to me is the possibility that two players will construct characters that belong in entirely different games. Not like a samurai and a space marine, those guys could get along pretty well, assuming their power levels are comparable; I mean like a combat monster with every point poured into making himself deadlier at the expense or taking every possible flavor based disadvantage (genreating a character who is effectively Superman, completely invincible, but totally useless to society because he spends all his time rescuing friends and family without them learning his secret identity) paired up with a street smart investigator with lots of potentially useful skills and resources, but a level of combat power that is negligible compared to his more militant ally.
Unless your GM spells out exactly what sort of campaign you're going to be in, and the players are willing to accept that wholeheartedly, your game will degenerate even faster than normal.
Being a devious murder mystery sort of GM faced with a table full of people who just want to stab orcs and steal their gold, is already a bad position. I fear that this product is not for me.

GM is Gamemaster, in this case. That'd be the guy that runs the game.
BESM3 is Big Eyes, Small Mouth version 3.0. It's a system based on Anime--Japanese Cartoons.

BESM was originally developed by a company called Gaurdians of Order.
It was a system that allowed players to build almost any type of character assuming they had enough points. Space wizard? check. Half-demon, half- monkey, ninja with a magic sword that shoots lasers? Par for the course.
The original idea was to make it so players could play as anime style superpowered heroes, but the system has been revamped over a few editions to allow players to emulate western style super-heroes and action movie heroes.
The system is surprisingly simple for one that does so much, but being simple and versitile makes it easy to build characters too powerful of too weak to compete, in the areas that matter to a particular campaign.

You kind of got to see it, but I'll give this a shot.
It's like Japanese solitaire, but with tiles instead of cards, and variant rules for multiple players (which rarely appear in computer renditions).
The tiles are arranged in stacks, which are arranged in rows.
You can remove pairs of tiles that have the same symbol, if they are on top of their respective stacks and on the ends of row. Usually there are four tiles of each type, so it's not always best to remove tiles just because you can.
It's easy to learn, but hard to master.

No becuase tou can't see any of the tiles in a stack except the top one, and you can't move tiles that are covered. It's like having several boardgames on top of each other, but you can't play on the second board until that part is no longer covered, and you can match tiles from different layers, so long as both are playable.
It's much more three dimensional than solitare.

Video game? Mahjong started as a board game. The computer versions just popularized it. The only reason I don't have a real set is because I can't bloody find one. D: I found one in National Geographic, though. It's $100..but it's definitely on my Christmas list.
And I'm playing Spryo. The original. 'Cause I haven't played it since 1998. *sigh* Insomniac didn't know a good thing when they had it, obviously. HOW LIMITED IS IT NOW?? T.T

Insomniac made the original(and best) Spyro the Dragon games. They sold it after Year of the Dragon, which, in my oppinion, was a mistake. I was reading somewhere that they quit because Spyro's movements were so limited, which was why they started on the Ratchet & Clank series.
The Sierra trilogy has sold more than the originals, and even I must admit that they gave Spyro some neat combo moves. However, they ruined the entire Spyro saga in the process. I just hope the people at Insomniac are beating themselves over the head with a baseball bat for giving up on it.

There's just so much stuff to do in this this game it's insane, and every one of those things levels something up.
Steal things and sell them? Buy things? Your country's econmy levels up, allowing you to buy better items.
Want to fight a random dungeon full of loot and mosters? Pick an item; every floor you clear will level it up. Killing the bosses every 10 floors nets you a hefty bonus to your item's stats.
Want to fight a super powered boss, 190 levels above that of you toughest character? Expect to reap a pile of characte XP, and level up your ability to recruit that boss... or ... you know...die. :'(
Want to send a single character to fight against a team of crack duelists? He gains XP, and his political level increaces, allowing him to attract more powerful senators to your political machine.
Want to pass a law requiring item shops to stock better weapon, or to carry a new class of accessory? Perhaps you'd like to fight stronger foes, by legaling mandating a level increace for all random battles (and bosses)? --or simply declare war or Planet Earth? Successes increace your clout, allowing you to pass future bills easier. Until you get on a roll, expect to bribe a lot of senators.
This game is so warped, but it's just too much fun to put down.

Oh jeez, now I need to play Disgaea again. I don't remember how far I was, but I do remember going "How do they expect me to do THAT?!" at Blair Forest. The Spyro thing is also true. Sigh. Oh chaos I wish I still had Ripto's Rage.
Right now though, I'm pretty much addicted to Crash Tag Team Racing. I never knew Cortex was so... disturbing. I got Tag Team Racing, Nitro Cart and Twinsanity in a little bundle for thirty dollars while I was visiting my sister last month. Very nice.

Blair forest is pretty easy if you have a number of tanks and a high SP healer, and you stay close to the base tile, swaping out weakened characters for new ones, instead of letting them die.
Did you get to the end of the zombie quest? --Because if not, you should be warned that there's some stuff in there fit to tweak you brain. One stealable special item type, in particular has led to a lot of quotes in my family, that would be in Crazy Quotes if not for the twin facts that this is a PG forum, and I'm not evil enough to inflict them on you.
That's the only mission you can get zombie parts on BTW, so if you do go through it, bring a lot of stealing hands, or you'll be making another cycle for those for Item Collection Completion.

I got Size Matters on my PSP, and I gotta say, if we ever scrape together the scratch for a PS3, some Ratchet and Clank games, will be one of the main reasons it'll have to be a model that does PS2 games.
Black Holes are neat, I should get me some black holes. They'd offset these white blinds nicely, and be useful in the event of zombie attacks.

See, the that's just the thing with turrets, they can turn on you. Their programming is so hard to predict, they might as well me with the zombies.
Worse really.
It's life playing Evil Genius, and putting a deadly trap in a high traffic area. It might never get an enemy agent, but it's going to get more than it's share or your minions. Just by virtue of always being there and being dangerous, it's more dangerous than occasional threats like zombies and S.E.A.L. teams with weapons of mass destruction. Stupid S.E.A.L.s, are always blowing up my armories, they're almost as bad as ninjas.
Black holes obey consistent laws of physics, and only spray fountains of deadly anti-matter at regular intervals, and only out of their poles. You can predict those, so naturally they are less dangerous.

The emu might win, but he is clearly the underdog.
Now, which one of those guys do you want guarding your house from ninja terrorists, who have no goal in life other than to blow up your armory, with its shelves full of automatic weapons? Maybe the emu is better equipped to detect ninjas, maybe not, but once he's found a ninja, the guy has the best chance of saving your guns.

I started playing asda story yesterday. It isn't tragicly bad.
Fairly genaric MMO, with a nice art style, and some wierd monsters. The emphasis on dressing up your avitar and marrying them off is kind of wierd. Appearently, you get acess to diffrent emotes and some extra features if your avi has a "soul mate".
So far, I've only made female characters; if I'm going to play Pretty Princess Dress-up, my princess is going to bloody well be a pretty princess, and not some spiky haired kid with a sword that he has to drag around.
Gersolov did manage to make a machine gun toting pirate that wasn't a total dork.
One thing that threw me is that clothes of a particular design can only be worn by aparticular class if they are over a cetain level, so after you reach level five, your wardrobe gets a lot more limited.

@Gryphor: Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. It was by far my favorite game in the Crash series, and my favorite Naughty Dog game by far. (even surpassing Jak & Daxter) Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, has just bumped up to number one, though. The gameplay is very similar to Tomb Raider. It's a shooting game, but it's not first-person. (I hate first-person) It also features a variety of puzzles and humor, including inside jokes. The story has been pretty good so far, too. It's definitely on my Christmas list.

My characters are no longer all female, I filled my last slot with a guy.
I'd complain that my guy never looked as cool as Legion's pirate, but the need for better armor bonuses has put [Real Name Hidden By Ancient Egyptian Spoiler Tags]'s gun pirate in a green lacy "robe". Rangers get the worst gear, and that says something.
My own princesses (and legion destroying berzerker who looks like he's twelve) have started to sacrifice astetics for stat bonuses as well. Striped armor with a plaid mini-skirt? It it'll give me another +1 to dodge, she'll wear it.
They look like they stole thier clothes from a yard sale, but they shoot steam powered robo-crabs like nobodies business, and in the end, isn't that what life is really about?

So, anyway. I finally found Tools of Destruction. We had to go to the Blockbuster in Bay City...but heck..I found it & I'm keeping it as long as they'll let me without trying to make me buy it. :B
Review so far? I haven't gotten very far..but I honestly don't like the controls. The ship levels remind me quite a bit of Starfox series, and I did giggle a little when they told me to do a barrel roll. I am not pleased with the weapon choice so far, either. It's kinda like when you first buy the Spitting Hydra. The description sounds awesome. I mean, hitting several enemies at once? Cool! Then when you finally get it, it doesn't do hardly any damage at all. The best weapon in ToD at the moment is the Fusion Bomb, I think it's called, but you only get 10. Which is slightly inconvenient. By the way..why did they change the Hypershot to the "Slingshot"? Anywho. This game had better get a whole lot better in the coming levels, because it's just not impressing me, right now.

Rachet just isn't Rachet if he doesn't have a bunch of really awesome guns. --and what would Clank be without Rachet? --A tiny robot that transforms into a giant battlemech, but mostly he'd just be a straitman, with no zany guy to snark off of.

I think it's mostly because it just seems too similar to Starfox Adventures/Assult, as far as controls & weapons go. You get what you think is a great weapon....but it takes 8+ shots to kill the bad guy. Besides....the is no sniper rifle in this game. If you can't snipe, where's the fun?
The story is..okay, and the new characters are tolerable. I've developed a fondness toward Smuggler, in fact. The fact that you can finally buy health is great, too..but to make up for that, the enemies are just too hard to kill. Though it is worth renting..just to see the Groovitron in action. :B (there's also no PDA that I know of..and that was one of my favorite gadgets. :< )

Dwarf Fortress.
Google it or something; I am far too busy playing Dwarf Fortress to talk about Dwarf Fortress.
It's a glacially paced (sometimes literally) game about economics, geology and agriculture.

Seriously though, the scope and scale of this game are preposterous. You can randomly generate a planet, and then open it's history books and look up every person who ever lived there.
Mjolnon Carveskull was a female dwarf, and a worshiper of Emnon Giantstone, a god who appeared in the form of an elf, until he was killed by the gblin hero Glin Splinterrot, in the year 67. Glin worked for the Purple Shadows, and evil force that built several Dark towersand temples, and plagues the forces of light to this day. I hope they don't attack my city, as their army is probably quite vast, if they have more than one Dark Tower.
For those of you who don't want to have your eyeballs seared out of your skull, by horrible, blinking, multi-colored E-ASCII graphics, alternate tilesets are available from the online DF help wiki. I wish I knew that sooner; my eyes hurt.
This game is free to download, and play. Full version. No joke. Google it.
It is also really, really slow. The world will usually be about year 250 years old. when you launch your first expedition. The world usually ends around year 1150. I've managed to keep a colony alive for almost 1 game year, over the past 2 days. The apocalypse is not an immediate concern, but it's coming. It is coming!
Did I mention this game is slow? You might want to bring a book. The game pauses whenever you open the help or select a sub-menu, so tinkering unnecessarily will slow things down. Once you get everything straitened out, I think a month passes in about an hour.
--But there's always one last tweak you can make that would make the whole thing more efficient.
If your dwarves are wasting time you want them to work more efficiently, but while you're making them more efficient, nothing gets done at all. It's really hard to just let your city run, so your careful planning actually gets carried out.
I really do recommend that you not allow yourself to become distracted while playing. I walked away for less than a minute, but when I came back, one of my Dwarfs had mistaken himself for Steve Irwin, and died in a tragic Alligator Wrestling accident. We dug him a very modest tomb, since he was our best miner, and we didn't have the labor to spare.
They don't normally act that stupid, but if you configure a character's task list just wrong, strange chemistry can occur.
The object of the game is to do whatever you feel like. Keeping your dwarves alive, sane and prosperous is generally recommended, but if the city is invaded by elves, or seized from below by an army of orcs led by a balrog, or turns out to be built on top of the tomb of an Elder Evil, that's actually kind of okay.
If you abandon your fortress, or simply run out of dwarves, you can send a new expedition or even send in a lone, super powered adventurer to fight the monsters and reclaim the halls for Dwarfdom.

I managed to find some specialty font spritesheets, that replace the E-ASCII grafix with actual sprites. You can find them through the official DF wiki, which is an essential resource for people who don't want to rely on the hastily written, in-game help.

1: Read the introduction chapter of the help, and read up on the different crop types, and the effects of the planting skill, on the wiki. Particularly note how to use the k key, before you dig near any blue tiles. --Unless you want to dig out the bottom of an underground lake, flooding your tunnels, in which case, by all means, dig into the nearest blue square.
2: Download and install an alternate graphics set. (Actually, what you need is a "character set", the "graphics sets" do something different, and less important). Seriously, unless you want to develop myopia early in your life, get a different character set. I like the square ones, myself, but they tend to make the game too wide to fit on the screen. Nobody wants that.
One important fact that doesn't seem to be mentioned in the help, or the wiki:
< and > are used to move up and down. This way you fortress can have more than one floor, and your mines can go down into the lava filled depths of the earth. I never would have figured it our if I hadn't played other, more straightforward roguelikes.
I just called Nethack straightforward. I may actually be the first person to ever do that.

Including the graphics mods that I downloaded and installed, the various zips, pre-converted .png files and other install detritus I didn't delete yet, and the game itself, the folder comes out to a little over 21 megabytes.

Well, I've started playing Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
I prefer to stick to the original Star Wars storyline, but I must say..it's a lot better than Tools of Destruction. The gameplay is great, as are the characters. The second(well, technically third) Jedi I had to beat was just awesome. He was seriously deranged, and he had those spider-leg things a-la "Zim". Overall, my favorite non-movie Star Wars character yet. I just wish I could pronounce his name. XD

I've heard a lot of people hating on the Quick Time Events.
As in, "What more quick time events!? Isn't everyone else tired of these by now!? I don't want to be looking at a row of button symbols, I want to look at the game! WAAH!
Care to give us your own take on that issue? I suspect that a lot of the people who hate QTEs were traumatized by Lair and UT2K6.
Are the Quick Time Events that distracting, disrupting and un-fun, or are these folks just hating them because they already hated QTE mini-games?

They're those little button press mini-games, where a row of buttons appears, and you have to push them in order.
They've been all the rage in boss fights, ever since God of War made them big.
In some games I don't mind them, but I remember how much I hated the Giant Coral Snake in Lair, and I'm afraid it'll be more of that.
Curse you giant coral snake! Curse your awesomeness!
When your dragon is about to be eaten by a giant coral snake, you want to watch the action, not watch the little picture of a controller at the bottom of the screen to see which way you need to dodge.
Same goes for jumping onto his face and stabbing him in the eye.
Did I mention that messing up this critical move will cost you your entire life meter? The heightened tension was nice at first, but replaying that level more than once could never be worth the effort.
I think stupid things like that are what led to this equally silly "Never put anything on the screen" philosophy, where health meters and score counters are no longer allowed.

Ah, yeah. I gave up on Lair. I can't seem to beat those stupid black dragons in the beginning. :< I'll likely do it, though. In another 4 years. Hey, I beat those dang Yarrows in Darkened Skye! I can do this!
Anywho. I know what you're talking about, now. Heavenly Sword was the first one I played that had that feature..and I'm really not that crazy about it. I loved Flying Fox too much! I didn't want to stare at little buttons, I wanted to watch him! XP

You gotta use Rage Mode to get into melee, or hit them with a Takedown Move. Normal attacks will take them down to 1 HP, but then they stop hurting them. No that doesn't make any sense.
If you can't do takedowns yet, and you aren't good in melee, soften them up with some charged shots before you close in, since they can hit pretty hard.
The Bridge level was the worst one in the entire game. Since it's supposed to serve as a morale tutorial, there's a lot of really heavy scripting, that messes with the moral meter, so it doesn't act anything like the actual game.
Which is stupid; the moral meter is the absolute crux of the battle system, and the flawed understanding of how it works, that the tutorial gives you, can cost you a lot of battles later on.
The whole game is really hamstrung by stupid decisions like that, but it has it's moments.
I still look back fondly on memories of ripping a battle rhino's skull out of his face and then throwing it through a battleship. ;)

Weeell...a lot of people hated Lair due to it's "Sixaxis-only" controls..but honestly, that doesn't really bother me. My main gripe is that you have to do things within a certain time limit..and that's always been my weakness. :C

Yeah, there was never a level where you could just go around destroying things with your awesome draconic might.
There were always places you absolutely had to be, usually two or three at once.
It's got no replay value on that account. It's a game I'll never go back and play, because there's nothing left to do, that won't get you a "Game Over!", for not doing something else.
One of the many bad ideas that hurt that game. An artifact from the Rogue squadron games, that failed to capitalize on the good ideas in the engine.
