So yeah, I have several hours here in the computer lab, but all my comic stuff is at home, and I already did my homework.

Naturally, I had to find something to do, and this fit the bill.

So far, I've put up Horror and Innocence.  I seriously considered using "Horror" for "Blood," instead, but Horror it stayed.

I switched to my older method of coloring and shading for the Innocence piece.  It's a fun style, but it takes too long over multiple panels to draw the comic that way.

The Horror piece will mess with your head if you stare at it too long.  Maybe I warped the perspective a bit more than I should have...

EDIT:  Before anybody asks, no, these aren't actual characters.  The kid in "Innocence" is one I draw a lot, but he doesn't actually exist in any project of mine, he's just fun to draw.

EDIT (Again):  "Drowning" is up.  Not really sure how I feel about that one...

Heh!   :D

Meh. Glad to see you've joined us, on this challenge.   ;D

Well, Horror or Blood, it certainly would've worked for both.
The perspective's fun though. 8D

Your older version? Hm. I like it.   :)

Drowning, I might point out a suggestion or two for...
Mostly involving how the profile and front views of his legs are a little backward in size (the front view is thicker than the profile) and how, well, considering that the face is at a bit of an angle... and that you usually have a bit of a snout on that type of critter, and I'm assuming you do, now... I'd think there should be a bit of a suggestion that his face actually does that.

The blue is fun though. I have no clue how you did that. XD (Other than a partially transparent layer. 'Tis about all I know.   :P  )

Hm... I need to take some time for my 100 Theme Challenge...   :P

To make the blue effect:  make a layer, fill it with a fairly dark blue.  Set it's transparency to about 25%.  Take the gradient tool, and set the secondary color to be completely invisible, and the primary color to be a light blue.  Make randomly crisscrossing blue lines.  Apply the Fragment blur.

Done.

Yeah, I'm not overfond of the way the perspective ended up in Drowning.  I'm not gonna' change it, though...

Heh.   ;D

Not expecting you to. =J
Hm... I really need to resume my challenge...   :P

Well, it looks neat.   :)
Know what you're gonna' do next?

Not a clue, and I probably won't until I start scribbling next time I'm in the lab.

EDIT:  "Tower" is up.  A bit of an experiment, this one...

This one seems to be in a different order..though I think they're all the same..huh.

But anywho. Wow. I like Tower. :3 Innocence and Drowning both offer a sense of serenity..despite the guy..well..drowning. Maybe it's the colors? Horror is good, too. Can't really tell what's going on, there...but his expression says it all.

I don't really know what's going on in Horror--it's all about the expression.

Drowning was supposed to be more serene, so the color scheme sorta' reflects that.

Tower was an experiment in not using any lines--just colors and shadows.

Hmm...I don't think they're in a different order--I copied it off of Blood's post, and removed his commentary and links...

"Night" is up...though I worry that the contrast will be too low for some monitors.

Heh!

Tower is neat.   :D
Oo... so is Night. I really like Night.   :D
The white that IE puts it on makes it hard to see, a bit, but it's really neat. Maybe ones like that could be fixed by adding a larger background of black to set it on, so that it covered more of the white, or something, and made the colors and lines more defineable...?
Anyway, gotta' go, but I'm glad I got to go through the Art thread. ^_^

Hmm...I don't really want to add dead space around it, since that would also make the file larger.  I do agree that the white that most browsers use as the default is far too bright.

o: I forgot to comment on this.

Hm...it is a bit dark, but I can make everything out, fine. The white part does make it a tad painfull, but when I minimize the screen, it seems okay. I really do love the colors in this one....though most of that is probably because I have a fondness for dark colors, anyway.

The only thing I can really suggest..is maybe a little more highlighting? 'Cause..even if it's cloudy, I'm sure there'd be, at least, a little moonlight....unless he's not out in the open. *shrug*

Hmm...

That's true...

Honestly, though, I've no clue where he is.

EDIT:  Blood is up.  (Er...the image, not the person.)

Heh!

Sure you are.  I believe you.

Anyway, "No Time" is up now.  Twice, in fact, since I turned off one layer, whilst working on the one under it, and I liked it.  So, yeah...you get 2 for that one, though they're pretty much the same.

EDIT:  Stripes is up!

The character on the left in this one is based on some (very) early sketches of Rithiel.  That's rather reflected in her coloring, but hey.

The other character is just one of the characters who I'm always sketching on my homework, much to the annoyance of my poor, poor Math teacher.

Anyway, this one was certainly fun to draw.
