I'm not really sure about what that is... and will remain rather confused by it until otherwise. ':D

It was Talk Like A Pirate Day, and I didn't find out until it was almost too late.

So, I dropped in here, just to talk like a pirate.

You can't let TLAPD pass without so much as a good "YARR!"

Well, glad that you got to use pirate-speak.

Though, how was it TLAPD?

Yarg! I missed it. :< 'Twas busy with other stuff.

Well, shoot. I was looking forward to it, too. Not....that I was gonna make a ship-shaped cake and dress up as Jack Sparrow or anything....

Talk like a Pirate day comes but once a year! ..On the same date I think...

I believe that International Talk Like a Pirate Day is a distinct holiday, different from TLAPD, but celebrated in the same way.

So, you could say it comes twice a year.

I'd make sure, but it's so hard to find calenders that list the holidays that you're in actual danger of forgetting.

A coupla' links of interest t' ya'll...

TLAPD origins:   http://www.talklikeapirate.com/about.html (http://www.talklikeapirate.com/about.html)

and, while I'm not overfond of the web design work...

Calender of "Weird Holidays":  http://www.brownielocks.com/month2.html (http://www.brownielocks.com/month2.html)

Because I am a benevolent admin.

That, and I rather like International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

For the record, it seems that both the National and International version fall on the same day, September 19th.

Heh!   :D

Hm... wierd holidays are entertaining... ^_^
People should enjoy more of them.   :P    ;D

I've never heard of TLAPD... well, I guess that's obvious, but still. How big is it, today?...
( 'Suppose I just wonder how big it has to be to've been so well-noted, here, yet be something I've never heard mentioned, elsewhere. )
