Here I'll put new versions. This is separate from the update notes so I can update it easily. I'll keep the newest download link here in the first post. I'll make new posts to say that there is a new version, though.
Current Version: SW Pre-Alpha 007
Current version of Shadow Wolf available here (http://canonfodder.virmir.com/games/SW/Release/SW_Alpha_007.rar).
You will also need the XNA 4.0 Redistributable. Get that here (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20914).

Have you ever thought about releasing some of those semi-stable test builds in this thread?
I know most of them are unsuitable, but there has to be something newer than October of 2010 we can show people, even at the glacial pace of development we have.
-
I occasionally consider it, but I don't generally feel like there's enough of a difference between one and the one before it to upload.
-
At least change the text to indicate that this is the last public test version.
We might condiser putting single player content on hold to assemble a simple arena game that people can actually play in a semi-serious way.
-
If you will recall, the netplay is the part that isn't working...
-
Ok! New upload:
Pre-alpha version 007 is out. There's still not much to do, but you can see what Mitz' and Black are currently capable of.
Added bonus: I stopped using Microsoft's deployment system, so now you can just extract the .rar where you want it, and double click on the .exe file to run. No more ridiculous installer!
-
Er.. jumping appears to not work in this build. --at least on my machine.
Is it possible that you broke something, when you were fixing that input bug?
-
Er...it was working on my machine. Let me poke it...
Also: It was recently pointed out to me that if you just download and extract, it won't work. Be sure to install the XNA 4.0 runtime as well. I added a download link to the first post.

Okay...I have not been able to reproduce the problem. Are you using a keyboard, or a controller? And which button are you using to jump?
-
A != Jump.
Space = Jump.
This isn't a software problem; it is a documentation issue.
-
Where does it say A is jump?
Oh. Controller controls.
Copy/Paste, no edits:
Keyboard:
Arrows to move
Space to jump
Z to attack
X and Z for specials
Controller:
Left Stick to move
A to jump
X to attack
Y and B for specials

DOH!

I'm in the process of attempting to add Network Multiplayer. When I get that working, I'll upload a new build.
