Title: Oekaki!

Lemme know if that works. If nothing shows up then it means you need Java. Took us forever to firgure that out. XD Most compters have it standerd, though.

So..it's pretty much like PhotoShop, has a lot of the same tools and whatnot, but no downloading required like other free programs. ^_^ I haven't done much of anything lately, well..good. All I've done is my avatar. XP

Uh... what do ya' see if it does/doesn't work?

By the way:
I was able to get on the forum during Woodworking, so... yeah. ('Tis why I'm on.)

Actually...you don't see anything if it's not working. XD After you click "paint", something like this (http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/4774/oekakigg6.png) should pop up. It should work..I think the whole point of Oekaki is to paint on other people's accounts.

Hmm...doesn't look very detailed, or flexible...

could work for simple stuff.  Might help if everything didn't seem to be in Japaneese.

Ah..forgot about that. XD I had to set it to English. Sorry....there are other types of Oekaki, though.

And as simple as it is, I've seen some things made in Oekaki that simply blew my mind. Such as this (http://gemiange.deviantart.com/art/Random-Sora-oekaki-3866822), http://nicole1725.deviantart.com/art/Ancient-Fire-Dragon-25093917 (http://5Burl)]this[/url] and this. Sweet.  I've also heard Gimp is pretty good.

Neat...   ;D
What's with the pig?
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Fox on November 11, 2007, 12:27:00 PM
Yeah..I've seen some neat stuff made with Gimp, too. ^_^

I have no bloody clue what's with the pig. XD

Very cartoony and somewhat concerned-looking Argon.

The English have nifty ways of saying stuff. =3

Heh.   ;D

What was that from/of?
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Fox on November 14, 2007, 10:25:00 AM
Who, Argon? He's my character. I don't often draw dragons, as I tend to suck at it, but Argon's expressions are just oodles of fun. =3

Yay, Fox. Looking a little more annoyed than usual...

Hey, that's the first time I've Oekaki'd an Irken(on this particular board) since '05. o_o My, how I've progressed. (http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/9986/oldcrapjv9.png) Really...I should never have even attempted to draw Zim-style. XD

*Laugh!!!*   :D

"I hate you..."
Heh.   ;D

How old were you when you made that?
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Fox on November 14, 2007, 07:34:00 PM
16. I sucked badly at drawing anything up until recently. It's not quite as eye burning now. XD

All artists seem convinced that anything made by them in the past is horrid...

Of course, you seem to be different, in that you aren't complaining of your work quite so adamantly at present...

At any rate, the work is good.

Argon, eh?  British, by any chance?
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Fox on November 15, 2007, 09:39:00 AM
Oh, no. Not entirely true there. ^^; I'm actually very critical of my own work. Self esteem was one of the things I was, sadly, born without. XD I just refrain from saying anything as it tends to annoy people, or so I've heard.

~An yeah. British. I have a fond liking of the British for some reason..Iunno.

*Laugh!!!*   :D

Awesome! Ramjik!
Hm... I find it interesting that I just said I was going to try to draw him again, right before reading this...   ;D

I like it.   ;)

(It's definitely not a fat guy in a Ramjik costume with an explosion of blazing hairballs...)
I've yet to be able to draw fire...

I've no self esteem, either.
People find it irritating, from me, too.   :P
But, I, unlike you, can't help it when it comes to things I think I've done horribly.
Be it art, or anything else, really.
I wonder why my opinion of it is that it (whatever it may be) is awful, while nobody else seems to agree...

Post by: Fox on November 18, 2007, 04:08:00 PM
Blazing hairballs are almost as fun to draw as fire. ^_^

And I think it's an artist thing. Ah..found it. http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_672.php (http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_672.php) - Amber explains it in words that I cannot. XD
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Dragyn on November 21, 2007, 09:34:00 PM
Amber is gifted at such things.

I see that Ramjik was done in Oekaki, but I believe that image to be at least worthy of a thread of its own...and an "Extras" page.

Permission, y/n?

I didn't think it was worthy of such, being just a random doodle..but..sure. =3
Title: Re: Oekaki!

It's good.   ;)
Title: Re: Oekaki!

Oops...I was gonna' do that today...

I'll have to do it later this week.  I finally got the Xepher.net Banners set up, today.

Not tomorrow, though.  I've an appointment with the demon...er...dentist.
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Faith on November 26, 2007, 06:45:00 PM
*Laugh!!!*   :D

You don't have a very high opinion of dentists... and I find it rather comical.   ;D

Oh, then you can ignore my question about the banners. ':)
I think I'll go and see!   :D

Well, a late good luck with that "demon," that you would have seen, already, today...

How'd the appointment go, then?
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Fox on November 27, 2007, 08:08:00 AM
Oo..I hate the dentist. @.@ Of the many, many phobias I have that is one of them. Well..hope it went okay for you, then. =3

~Btw..I'm almost done with that groupshot I mentioned..somewhere....I think the scale is messed up a bit, though. Thief looks a little short. XP Oh wellz.
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Dragyn on November 27, 2007, 10:33:00 AM
Seen my work?  The scale is -always- messed up.

The appointment was fine.  I see him again next Mon.
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Faith on November 28, 2007, 06:28:00 PM
Hm... I wonder what it must be like to have phobias like that... oh wait, I do. It's a stage.   ;D

I hope that one goes well for you, too. ':)

Why do you have to go back in?
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Dragyn on November 29, 2007, 08:55:00 AM
I go back, 'cuz this first one was just the basic "see what's broken, and what needs done" thing.  I'm getting it crowned.  (not as king, though.  That'd just be weird)
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Fox on November 29, 2007, 09:42:00 AM
Phobias SUCK.

~Oo..crown. I had a couple of those last year. On the bright side, I got a gold one. =D
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Faith on November 29, 2007, 06:17:00 PM
Heh... ':)

Good luck.   :)

Whatcha' getting?
Gold or porcelain?   ;D

What happened to you, Fox?
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Fox on November 30, 2007, 10:28:00 AM
I don't know. I've tried blocking out many of the occurances that caused my phobias, save for the motorcycle indident which might be a bit graphic to mention.

Needless to say..I have about as many phobias as Adrian Monk. Eh..well..maybe not that many. XD (114, if you're curious) Cemetaries, heights, blood and motorcycles are the worst ones, but cemetaries actually cause me to go in shock. So..I tend to avoid those more than anything else on my list.
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Faith on November 30, 2007, 08:25:00 PM
Heh.   ;D

Hm...
I'm a paranoid wacko' that's afraid of stages.
Nice to meet you.
(I just thought that would make an interesting introduction...)

Then I have things that I'm not afraid of, but they bother me... crowds, strangers, cities... et cetera.

I guess I kinda wonder what it must be like to be social... ya' know?
Or are you social?...
In which case, whats'it like?
... like you'd really know the difference if you were or not, having only one point of view in life as your own...   :P
Title: Re: Oekaki!

I've always felt it pointless to compare yourself to others...which is why celebrities make no sense to me at all...
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Faith on December 01, 2007, 11:41:00 PM
*Laugh!!!*   :D

It is not a comparison, so much as it is curiosity.
I'm always wondering what things are like from other perspectives...
Perhaps I'm just one of the weirdos that do that...   ;D

Celebrities... they confuse me for many, many reasons...   :P

You didn't answer the earlier question... might you have done so purposefully?
(Sorry, if so... for asking and then for pressing the matter.)

Omg..Fox's eyes look so SHINY. XD I love my Hanvon. <3
(http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/2984/littlefoxef3.png)
Fox was even girlier when he was little. XD (and that's Zim there in the corner..added for *more* amusement)

Heh...   :D
Oh my...

Yeah, but isn't he ADORABLE? X3
Title: Re: Oekaki!
Post by: Faith on December 30, 2007, 05:57:00 PM
*Laugh!!!*   :D

What with his giant, innocent eyes and girly behavior?
Of course.
Title: Re: Oekaki!

XD Couldn't have said it better. ^^
Title: Re: Oekaki!

*Laugh!!!*   :D

-There are no words beyond that reaction.

Hm... I think I might have only done that sort of thing because I did practically the same thing, last time...
Weird.
Oh wait... words!

Sometimes a laugh can be better than words. XD

Heh.   ;D
That's true...
