Dead air is the enemy.
It doesn't matter if it's stupid or insightful, reasoned or non-sequitur just say something.
We must protect our socks!
-
Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum videtur.
In lines of "Whatever you say in Latin will sound smart."
Also, yip!
-
I say the world needs more cookies.
-
I figure that going to school is optional.
I could, if I wanted to, get my GED and proceed to attempt some fail business... such as selling tin cans on the side of the road in order to make a small, respectable fortune.
Problem is, my goat would probably eat all of these.
So, what I really need to do, is sell the goat and buy a lottery ticket.
Or, I could get some sleep.
That could help, too.
Also, my mom's 80's pop music sounds like attack of the Felmo --- Furbie/Elmo.
-
HAHaHahaHaHaHA
HAHaHahaHaHaHA
HAHaHahaHaHaHA
Now I'll be hearing that in my nightmares. :-X
-
Hehehe... XD
I admittedly laughed a lot at that. And I don't think that I'll be feeling sorry.
(I could be really evil and have a link to the Felmo song, even... :P :) )
-
The other two Stooges too him for granted--cast him out.
He wandered alone in dark places...
...but now he's back! --for revenge.
This summer:
8) Fel Moe 8)
-
Hahahaha. XD
This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWBs-b7Rx6s) is pretty close to the song I heard.
(The other one was kinda early-techno and it really intensified the Felmo... but I didn't find that one anywhere on the Internet. You'd think that people wanted to pretend that it never existed, or something. :P )
The beginning is all you need to hear to understand, I think. XD
Sad thing is, the basic music is actually pretty decent... it's just those occasional moments when I kinda feel like throttling the singer... or driving a wooden stake through it's heart/pushing it into sunlight. I'm not really sure. :o
Anyway... have fun with that. :P
-
So I was looking up snail graffiti (http://www.metro.co.uk/news/156464-graffiti-snails-roaming-london) (which is pretty cool) and I found...
This. (http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_WGjMkABo-O4/SrEpkwhVmKI/AAAAAAAAAH8/DNybvZTbYl8/s1600-h/liam+with+giant+snail+milpe0001.JPG)
That snail is INSANE.
And I thought that the snails we found under our bathtub the other day were big enough... :P
Apparently, they are African land snails, the biggest snail in the world. The largest one on record was 15.5" in length and weighed 2 lbs.
-
Thanks for that.
I saw a horror movie about slugs when I was a kid, and now I can't eat lettuce or cabbage with any sort of enthusiasm.
-
Bwahahaha!!! XD
Yeah...
Don't worry. you won't find them around here. >.>
It was actually pretty sad. My friend and I are in Advanced Art, where we can do pretty much whatever we want to do and call it art (that class is pretty awesome :P ).
We were going to order African snails (which would've been paid for by the school budget as they would be a "canvas"), paint them glow-in-the dark and keep them in the class room. The teacher was all for it. But I was looking into it and it turns out that they're illegal in the U.S.
Something about being an invasive pest. :P
But we might use panda snails, which are a bit larger than a tennis ball. :)
Or maybe a horde of tiny snails.
;D
-
No hordes of anything slimy! None! No!
Curse you creeping things of the Earth, my multitudinous weaknesses.
-
Hahaha... XD
We were thinking that a great senior prank would be to paint a horde of tiny snails and release them into the school. :P
I am also thinking of looking to a black market snail dealer and getting my African snails, anyway. XP
-
No.
You will not import any sort of invasive wildlife into this country.
I'll turn you in, and see to the destruction of the specimens personally. I am not kidding.
Invasive imported animals are a very serious problem, and you don't need to make it any worse.
-
Hahaha, relax. I'm not going to actually do it. XP
It's just too much fun to say I'm going to the "black market snail dealer." ;D
I largely avoid illegal activity, I assure you.
But yeah.
I'm still left finding a solution to our dilemma... XD
-
Paint a turtle.
-
Hahaha... that could be fun, also.
I'll have to mention it to my friend. :P
But I don't know that it will have quite the same impact... XD
Nah, nah.
I think I've mostly given up on the snail idea. If my friend is still after it, sure, but I only really have so much of my Art class left...
This is my last semester!
After this, no more Art with my crazy awesome HS art teacher...
*Sad story...*
Ah, well.
I hope that whatever college I go to has another cool art teacher... XP
-
Well, I only ever had the one college level art instructor. He was pretty crazy, but in a good way.
okay, MOSTLY a good way.
-
I had two different art teachers in college.
The first one I had to drop almost immediately; I simply could not tolerate that man and his idiotic babbling.
My drawing class instructor was much better, and I really enjoyed her class. I learned a lot there, but it was kind of a weird group. See, it was an evening course, so most of my classmates were middle aged women with jobs and families, so I felt kind of out of place.
-
Heh...
I'm not sure if that's all entirely reassuring... XD :P
Especially when my art teacher is so awesome now. >.>
Hm... yeah, I could see that.
But hey, sometimes middle aged people make better friends than peers do. Especially when they're not so desperately needing to get over themselves and don't try so hard to be cool, having realized that it really doesn't matter or affect the grand scheme of things. XD
*Has peers who should look into this...* XP
Ah, well. I'll look into those. :)
...
But...
Hey...
How do you avoid the naked people...? >.>
Can I just not show up that day...? '=D
-
Unless you plan on majoring in art, it's not really that hard to just avoid the classes that have nude models. In my case, I just emailed the teacher beforehand, to verify, and all was well.
If any of the classes I took did have that, I'd have just dropped the class, and taken something else.
-
But I do sort of want to look into art while I'm in college.
Maybe not majoring in it, but...
Honestly, I can't imagine school without art. It would drive me crazy.
Ah, well.
Maybe I could just talk to the teachers about it beforehand... I'm sure I could do some independent study of form without involving nudity...
Ya' know... if the teacher would let me.
-
Eh. I dunno'.
Random question: As far as spelling goes, which is better; Radick, or Radek?
-
The spelling with the "e" for some reason hardens the "a".
Rad-ick becomes Ray-deck, for some reason.
-
Hmm...that's true.
New but related question: One D, or 2? Radick, or Raddick?
-
Two has a more universally clear pronunciation, while just one leaves ambiguity.
That may be the price for mitigating the already substantial innuendo potential.
-
There's that, yes.
Also, Radick is a somewhat common name, and Raddick is, as near as I've managed to discern, never used at all.
-
I prefer the old spelling, "Raddick."
I like the the name that way, best. I don't believe there's any need for changing it. :)
Mwahahaha...
We had two snow days in a row, right before the weekend, and I didn't have to take my tests... XD
I liked that quite a bit, seeing as I didn't study very well for those tests. :P
-
You can't crutch on luck forever, Faith. Don't neglect studying.
It's very important for passing Calculus.
The third time you take it, at least.
-
:P
Yeah, yeah, yeah... XP
/me is sick of HS...
Would've quite a long time ago, but it just never happened... and now that I'm so close, why stop? XP
-
Hey! I didn't pass Calc II any of the times I took it, and look at me.
(I'm a smelly hobo, who survives by mooching off of his little brothers. Study hard, kids.)
-
*Snrk!*
Well, smell can be amended to by bathing... XP
And besides...
You've hit a rough patch, that's different.
You've had decent work before, and I'm sure you will again. Just gotta' stick with it.
To top, I know people who didn't have much schooling, hardly getting through HS, and they lead good lives these days.
At the same time, I know other people that an education never did that for.
It kinda depends on the time and place and, most importantly, how you handle it...
But an education is definitely in my plans, so I have to continue on, trudging through the sludge of the modern schooling system... >.>
:P
It ain't bad, really, I like learning and all, but it sure kicks the whole idea of a life outside of school while you're stuck in the middle of it. XP
-
Hmm...
The modern system is weird, I admit. I think there's probably something we could do that would be better, but I'm not really in any position to say what.
-
Well, the apparent idea of HS is to set you up for the worst job you could possibly have... and think it's as good as anything ever was... XP
I mean, seriously... 40 hr work weeks, including the time spent in school, and then add a few more hours outside of school for homework and assignments... with no pay.
A LOT of paperwork and book stuffs.
The work they give you usually isn't that interesting or enjoyable, in the first place.
Top it all off with heaps of social issues, excessive levels of idiocy and some dumb teen drama...
... ... ...
That's just not too wonderful. :P
But nah, I guess it's really not so bad...
I just gotta' buck up and finish and enjoy this last year. XD
-
Yeah, pretty much. It may not be an ideal situation, but it's only as good as you make it.
-
...
These candy canes are amazing.
They actually taste like chocolate, and I still can't get over it... XD
A new favorite holiday candy? I think so. XD
*Adds to the list of things tastey and bad for you*
-
Tasty and awesome always ends up being bad for you.
Go figure.
-
Hahaha. :P
Does anyone know why my shift keys just won't work with a few of the other keys? For some of them, I just have to use the shift from the opposite side of the keyboard to get a capitol letter. Otherwise, it just won't show up. Every time I use the upper case "I" it is through caps lock. Also, for some symbols, there just isn't any easy way to make them. Nor can I use the space bar while the shift is pressed. O.o
Any suggestions? XP
-
Try a different keyboard? If that doesn't work, I don't know.
-
Urgh.
*Will clean the keyboard sister dumped soda on in order to try it...*
:P
-
Merry Christmas, you lazy, ungrateful hacks!
-
...
What?
-
Just complying with the OP.
-
Ah. Of course.
I think the best code to write is the stuff that people won't give a second thought to. It's usually some of the more interesting pieces, without getting confusing.
-
I'm not gonna' lie.
I have no clue as to what you guys are talking about... XD XP
-
I'm going to a job interview today.
/happydance
-
I'm babysitting a broken car.
/notsohappydance
Seriously, though, Good Luck with your interview!
-
I'm a telemarketer!
...
/mixedfeelingsdance
-
I had to follow a lot of links, to re-find this forum.
I'M LATE, but Merry Christmas/Happy new year. I got a new computer! I haven't moved any of my bookmarks. 8I
-
I use multiple computers, so I had to learn the new URL right away. :P
-
Hmm...anything I could do to make it easier to refind?
And Merry Belated Christmas and Happy New Year to you, as well.
-
Not really. I'm just a doof, and don't memorize URLs. 8U
-
You could take down your old page, and ask Xepher to redirect your old site to this URL.
-
Yeah. I've already told Xepher he can redirect/take out the old site whenever. He said he'll do it when he gets around to it, so it'll probably be there until next year, I'd guess.
I think I'll leave the old forum, though. It has the new forum's address on every page, at this point.
-
Heh. :P
Nice.
Welcome back, Fox!
Wondered where you'd disappeared to. =3
*Happy belated holidays and emotional telemarketer/broken-car dancing to all!*
Hahaha...
If being a telemarketer is as funny as I think it would be, you should share all of the ridiculous things that people say to you, here... XD XP
Heh.
I like having the old forum.
I had a lot of stuff on there in PMs that I refer to once in a while... :P
Like the other day in class... XD
(It's one of the forums that get past my school's blocks... >.> )
-
???...
:o...
......
:-\ That isn't a potential outcome I had examined.
I'll try to stay positive. 8)
-
Hahahaha. :P
Well, let us know how it goes. :)
-
...
Yes, yes I am double-posting...
>.>
Has anyone else ever had an experience wherein they come back to a forum and everyone's been talking, and then you say something...
And then no one talks anymore...? O.o
I have.
Several times.
On this forum. T.T
Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but it's sorta' driving me crazy.
I think I might have said something to this extent, before, but...
Should I just stop talking on here? >.<
-
Naw, happens to me, all the time. Even on huge forums, like Avatar Spirit, and the Borderlands group. I KEEL FORUMZ.
And the reason I actually disappeared, was due to holidays and many plushie commissions. I have a loooot, to catch up on, because of holiday hiatus. HURGH. I'm slowly getting there, though. I probably would've gotten stuff done, faster, if I hadn't taken a break, to make Tesla and Connor plushies, for myself. >3> The crazy fangirl neeeeeds theeeeem, though...
-
You told me to let you know how it goes.
What can I possibly say now, before it has actually gone?
Hissss! >:(
;)
-
I'm in the land of slow and unreliable in'net, and have been since last year.
I try to do what I can, but when it takes an hour to load a page, some things get pushed back.
-
Hahahaha... XP
Okay. I'm reassured. :P
Yeah... I have junk to catch up on, too... >.>
Only mine's school-related...
Well, mostly. That's the priority junk. :P
Hehehehe...
All right. You'll inform us maybe tomorrow, then? :D

Anecdote:
In the lobby, waiting for my training class to get started, I overheard a guy talking to his former supervisor.
This was his last day. :o
Seems he's owned his own business for a while now, and it's doing well enough that he decided to quit his day job, and become self employed. ::)
This is a lot better than the guy who left my last place of employment, the day I arrived. He left the same way I did.
Here's to you anonymous lobby guy. I wish you the best. ;D
-
Hahahaha.
That's awesome. ;)
Keep us posted if any interesting things happen. :)
-
Stop doing that!
This is Say Anything, and I post or not post anything I want.
Thus saith the toast guru!
-
Hahahaha... XD
But I want to hear about the things that happen when you start actually telemarketing people... :P
At any rate, I hope the toast guru is having a good time at work. XD XP
Argh.
I figured out I might have bronchitis... :P
Not fun.
I can't walk from one class to the other without feeling like I'm desperately out of shape. XP
(PE, by the way, is above all the worst class I currently attend as of now. :P)
-
Today, I went completely and totally insane. I spent the next 30 actions pushing a guy down stairs and looking for the manager.
I tried to send Blood a postcard, but it wouldn't load on this connection.
P.S. Don't drink from the fountain.
-
But I want to hear about the things that happen when you start actually telemarketing people... :P
Today, a solicitor called me. I answered with "Anomaly Research Centre, can I help you?" I think they broke.
Yeah...don't call any 979 numbers, Blood. It might be me. 8U
-
I won't be making outgoing calls.
When you call up to activate your credit card, I'm the guy who asks you for your mother's maiden name, asks if you want any other people's names attached to the account, and then tries to sell you an identity theft protection service (--which I get free for the next year. Yoink!).
I can also get calls from customers with questions or wanting their account settings changed, but mostly I just activate your card and work my way through the cross sell scripts before I can hit confirm.
Even though I'm not calling people, I have to be registered as a telemarketer in several states to work at a call center. It helps other call centers not hire me if I do something unethical here.
This is the sole opinion of the poster and in no way represents the interests or opinions of his employer or any other person or group.
That isn't the verbatim disclaimer, but they gave it to me inside a secured area, where we're not allowed to take any paper out (to help protect account numbers and such.)
When you work with people's credit card information, there is a lot of tracking and security, so they have a short list of suspects if something get's stolen or misused. For example, I have to password lock my workstation whenever I go on break. It actually makes the gravity of working in the finance industry very real, as you have a real sense of how much damage the stuff you work with could do in the wrong hands.
You can expect to see this disclaimer a lot, if I have to talk about my job, even though it is actually a nice place to work, and seems to be overall pretty ethical, compared to what I though of when they first made me fill out that registration.
-
Heh. :)
Well, I'm glad you're enjoying the work, all the same.
...
/me wants money... ... ... :P
Note to self: my sandals have no traction at all whatsoever during the winter. Find different shoes.
-
Well that's good, I think. That you'll not be making outgoing calls, I mean.
I wish I could sleep, but my schedule is all a-borked.
Maybe now.
-
Heh. :P
Nice.
What borked your schedule? :P
-
Heh. :P
Nice.
What borked your schedule? :P
...
-
O.o
...
... ... ...
Okay, now I'm really confused... :P
-
I don't really know why I couldn't get to sleep. Regardless, it feels good to be back at home.
-
I got paid for a minor commission, yesterday.
It was nice to make a bit of money, but I think I still need a job.
-
Heh.
:)
Congrats. ;)
Yeah. I got five bucks for a drawing the other day. Heh. It was sorta' nice 'cuz I didn't expect to get paid for it. :P
-
I'm not sure if getting paid in Atari Tokens counts.
Digital gaming currencies turn the entire concept of money sideways, and they do it on purpose.
-
No, not the guy who paid in Atari points. I've done 2 commission things at this point. I got paid in cash (by payPal) for one, and the other guy gave me Atari Points.
Still, the guy who paid in Atari Points paid with the equivalent of $25. Apparently people value my art higher than I'd've thought.
-
Heh.
It's probably nice to be getting paid for those things, all the same. :)
-
Yeah. It is. Maybe not reliable income, but it's still nice--especially considering I didn't actually expect to get paid for the Champions one.
-
I don't get a lot of art commissions..when I do get offered, it's usually for something...a little beyond my comfort level. I guess that's what I get, for advertising on Fur Affinity. *shivers*
-
Yeah. I avoid FA. It's creepy over there.
-
Heh. :P
I usually just make or half-make things and then they find their way to somewhere.
If it's not that good or only partially acceptable (I like a part, a concept, a style, something...), which is the majority of them, I'll usually toss it or store it where I'll hardly ever see it.
Some things... if they're good enough... I'll share or give away.
Heh.
When I was little, at elementary school, I would sell drawings for quarters, nickels and dimes. :P
But I haven't really done "commissions" since then. XP
If I get paid for something, it was because they were nice enough to do so.
The funny thing is, though, apparently I wasn't the only one selling my art in elementary school. :P
I would doodle things and give them to the vice principle, my teachers, my classmates... and just about anyone else, really. There were a lot of drawings to go around.
I recently learned that my vice principle would have them around, for a while... and then someone who came in regularly started just... buying them from her. O.o
Who?
Who knows.
Why...?
Continues to puzzle me.
I mean... I was in elementary school. Uh... anyone who wants to get silly squiggles from a kid could just hand some children paper and writing/coloring utensils and then come back and pick up after them. Squiggles galore... for FREE.
Oh, well, I guess.
:P
Though... I've thought of commissions again, lately...
I could use some extra money... XP
Where/how do you guys suggest I try that...?
-
At this point, all the commissioned work I've done has been where I wasn't looking for it, so I really don't know what to suggest, there.
-
There actually are some really nice people, on FA. Not to mention you can also upload music, too. DeviantArt is also great, especially with its Group system. I don't really browse FA, to avoid the creepy things..I mostly just upload, write a journal, and comment on stuff. It's a great community, strange fetishes aside. Still..dA is my home, and where I spend 90% of my time at.
If you want to start commissions, I highly recommend either or both. If you want to sell already-drawn art, I hear eBay and Craig's List are good, too. (though I've never done that..)
-
They can actually make some money off of those sites?
I just see all of those bunches of adds and think that anything I tried to sell would get lost in there... >.>
:P
-
To be fair, you can sell anything on craigslist.
I buy 100% of my human sacrifices and cursed artifacts there.
-
I don't think I've ever bought anything on craigslist...
-
On second thought, scratch that.
I bought this belt at a yard sale once, and I wouldn't vouch for it's non-cursed status.
-
Hahahaha... XD XP
A cursed belt, huh?
/me is curious, now... XD
-
Sometimes reality is just more interesting in my head.
-
Welp. After I made a 5 1/2 foot Zim plushie, I started playing Dragon Age: Origins. Then Amber got a PS3/Borderlands.
I've been glued to my tv, for a week. 8I HAVE I MISSED ANYTHING?
-
Not really.
DW has been coding and drawing like crazy, so he hasn't been in here much, and I've been busy with work, so I couldn't be the life of the party, like usual.
I'm actually kind of revealed to see everybody coming back after a week of eerie silences.
-
More coding than drawing, honestly. Most of it's back end stuff, for the map editor, so I don't even have much to show for it.
-
... so I couldn't be the life of the party, like usual.
That made me laugh hysterically. XD
-
... so I couldn't be the life of the party, like usual.
That made me laugh hysterically. XD
OI!
I'm awesome and everyone knows it.
-
Hahahaha... XD
That's funny, 'cuz Tim and I were just yesterday comparing you to Raskolnikov from Crime and Punishment. XP
(Admittedly, you're far more comical than he is. And hopefully a bit less homicidal. :P )
But look, even the cover bears some similarities... XD
http://scrapetv.com/News/News%20Pages/Sports/images-2/crime-and-punishment.jpg
-
Creepy.
It's as though somebody put Gersolov's beard on my face.
-
Hahahaha... XD
Just don't go splitting old women's heads with axes, okay? :P
-
Well, there goes my Tuesday night. :(
-
Hahahaha... XD Oh, man.
By the way, I'm gonna' put that picture of Raskolinkov on Facebook and tag you in it, now. :P
-
okay...
-
Hahaha. Bear with me, if you would. Stupid simple things like this make me happy. XD XP
Today is going to be really weird. :P
First I'm going to an anti-prom party. XD
But I've paid ludicrous amounts of money (okay, the tickets were $15, but still) to go to prom, which is something I don't even want do. XP
So I'm going to prom this evening until 1 in the morning, and then I'm gonna' go back to the anti-prom party... :P
Tomorrow I'm going to work. XD
-
Is anyone else here?
I know that things always get kind of quiet at the start of summer, but this place has had a spooky, tomb-like quality for two weeks now.
Is everybody out enjoying the sun, or are we just out of things to say?
-
I check in nearly every day, but I haven't had much to say.
I've got a comic that's inked, but I haven't colored it. I'm a bit distracted of late, and haven't been able to focus enough to finish it, so I feel weird saying something when nobody else is here and I'm behind on objectives already.
Also, me getting married in less than 3 weeks contributes to the distraction, so there's that.
-
I know I said that already... but best of luck and best of time for you. :)
-
Heh... six days, now.
And...
We're still working on invitations... XD XP
-
I am a hat!
-
Darn it, I looked for the "Like" button again. XD XP
Well, I don't have anything to -say-, necessarily... but...
This is pretty funny. :P
-
I still think the best part of that picture was the comment on the site you found it on...
"This sort of makes me think IE is smarter than it really is."
-
The smartest thing IE ever did was not acknowledge the alternative brands.
When you have that kind of market share, you don't draw attention to the fact anyone else exists.
-
There's something to that.
Still, doesn't really seem like it should be a winning strategy, to simply ignore your competition.
-
Ignore and Refuse to acknowledge aren't really the same thing.
IE has tabbed browsing now, for a reason.
-
I suppose...
-
Going to work the day after the family picnic sucks.
We never get home from those things on time.
-
/me enters with a broom, cleans the dust and cobwebs, and sighs.
-
Sorry man, most of the regular gang just moved into my house in the past couple of months.
It seems silly to post here when 90% of the audience would hear you if you said something out loud.
Dragyn and Faith have their own place now though, so we'll probably start using this to keep in touch.
What would be really nice is if Tim updates his comics enough to draw in some new blood, but I still have his drawing computer.
-
Well, now that I'm getting settled in, I should be able to get back to updating.
Beastling is the next comic to update, I am thinking.
-
I would not have called that.
-
Fact of the matter is, I've had the next Beastling comic sketched for the last 2 PE updates. I feel it's high time I buckle down and finish it.
-
Heh. Yup. He works on it every now and then... in a couple of days, he guesses, it should be good to go. :)
Wow... I have gotten into the habit of hardly ever using this thing. :P
Oops...
But I do believe that more updates would encourage more conversation... *poke, poke*
-
Hey, look! I actually can pull off an update!
Now...I have to get to work on the next one. :)
-
Hey, look! I actually can pull off an update!
Now...I have to get to work on the next one. :)
Come on, you have VERY hungry readers waiting!
-
Yup yup. Time to get to sketching!
-
My head just won't stop hurting.
-
Haha, yes... start next comic. >.O
Sorry 'bout your head hurting, Blood. :(
Seeing as it's been about a month, though, I hope it's better... heh.
-
Yeah, that was like four headaches ago.
-
I finally got all the programs, movies and stuff I wanted installed on my shiny, new computer, and now the hard drive seems to have died.
???>:( :'( :( :-\ :'(
These smileys are not sad enough.
-
Your HD died. Really?
My computer is ancient, compared to yours. You at least have a replacement warranty, right?
-
...
My condolences... :(

Still under warranty, but it'll take 3 weeks to ship it out fix it and ship it back.
They still wanted an extra 99 bucks just to try recovering my data.
I'll just have to reinstall all my games utilities and music when it get's back.
-
Geh. That sucks.
You didn't have any non-replaceable stuff on there, did you?
-
Some late night poetry that I jotted down in notepad, some code snippets for a side project, and some sprites I've been working on. 10-20 hours of work, mostly on things I won't bother going back to recreate.
-
You write poetry?
You should share some... I love poetry... ^-^
-
Only when it's late at night and it just comes to me.
I don't do it very often, so I'm not very good at it, and thankfully all my work is lost, so there's no danger of you reading it.
-
This amuses me.
It might shouldn't, but it does.
-
I HAVE RISEN FROM THE DEAD. Or IV drip. Close enough. Figured I should pop by, before poofing, again, next week...
-
Welcome back!
or would "It's alive!" be more appropriate?
-
Barely alive, haha. I'll try not to completely vanish, again. D:
-
Dag!
I should have read this thread before posting in that other one.
Welcome back!
-
Aww... no poetry... XD XP
(Really, someone should post some sort of writing, since there's nothing in that thread... :P )
Hello again!!! :D
How is that going, anyway? The whole, IV-drip, barely alive stuff?
Just... keeping you barely alive? :P
Nice to see you around again, nonetheless. :)
-
Well I did okay, last time. And....was, somehow, coherent enough to log myself into MSN and chat with a friend, while still under the influence. .... Note to self: shut computer down, before surgery.
-
Note to self: shut computer down, before surgery.
Would that actually stop you? :P
-
Probably not, haha. I was able to type my MSN and Facebook password...I'm sure my computer password won't be a problem. Hmm....hope I don't post anything, here, right after...
-
What did you SAY? XD
-
Nothing terrible, but I'm gonna tag it as "view at your own risk", anyway. (http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/6735/whatdididid.png)
I do not remember yesterday. 9am I was sitting in a dentist chair, the next thing I knew, it was Friday morning. My mouth looks like a Jigglypuff....

-
:o
I don't know whether to salute this man for mastering his craft, or to complain that he has ruined women in leather pants. :-\
-
Hahahahahaha! XD
That...
Hahahaha... XD
Don't worry too much, as there is conflicting information elsewhere. She definitely had at least two female stunt doubles and other sources say he just choreographed the action scenes. Not only that, but look at that guy and tell me that you think he passed as that skinny little chick for even just one second. It's unlikely. :P
Of course, I wasn't going to share any of that information before I got the reaction. XD
-
I'll give anybody who can tell me what my picture is of 100 special painted african snails. (;
-
one person
one blank page
and nobody who still posts ):
-
Having not updated the comic since July, most of the members don't check in often. Give 'em a month or two, or at least until I update next. :P
-
;D Sweet, ok.
-
Conversation is a self-sustaining chain reaction.
The more you post, the more often people will check to see if you posted anything.
You could be the spark that bring some life back to this party.
-
On a semi-related note, my laptop is expected to get back from being repaired on Monday, so if all goes well, I should be able to get back to a state of productivity, soon.
-
That's good.
I'll spread the word among the faithful, once you get something uploaded.
-
Thats sweet, I'll tell my friends. :)
-
has anyone seen my pole on music, had it then, poof gone, was looking forward to the outcome. ¦(
-
did someone call for a black market snail dealer?
-
I haven't heard anything about black market snails. Do they come in high explosive variants?
-
just got a new shipment.
-
I'll have to think about it. Explosive snails should never be an impulse buy.
-
but they are on sale right now.
-
did you guys see the hockey game, detroit won by a the last round of the second shoot out.
-
I'm...not really much of a sports fan. I understand the appeal, I've just never made the commitment to actually learn anything about them.
-
all that matters is detroit won.
now to the matter at hand, why do you need explosive snails?
-
Easier to affix to things than normal sticky bombs, and better tank killers to boot.
-
Tell me how long it takes for this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1kKO8f6pgU&feature=player_embedded#!) to make you feel ill.
I got it from the same gut who linked me that upside down and backwards thing, or course.
EDIT: Fixed the Link
-
wow.
-
*peeks in*
Wow, I missed quite a bit.
-
You're back!
You haven't missed as much as I feel you should have, and this makes me somewhat sad.
-
Still missed being around though, haha. I got caught up, writing. :c I'll try to stick around more, though!
-
sup. :)
-
Pokemon, mostly. Haha. Well, Poke-people. I've been really distracted. :I
-
Distraction seems to be the default state around here.
-
Look! Something shiny!
-
WHAT. WHERE. *chases it*
-
MY 14 B-DAY IS ON THE 18th!!!

Awesome.

thanks

This place may be a shanty, but it's OUR shanty. *waits for someone*
-
I'm still around!
I'm just not very good at carrying a conversation. Sorry.
-
Should probably speak up more myself.
...does this count?
-
Yes, I think it does. It incremented your post count, anyway...
-
that it did. my b-day was good. how ya doing!
-
All is well on this end...to the best of my knowledge.
-
The cake was cute. Thanks! ;)
-
I'm still here! Sort of. I keep getting distracted. :c
-
Don't we all...
-
yes, yes we do.
-
I'd probably get more comics done if I didn't have a job...but then I wouldn't have the money to pay for my internet, so you'd never know.
-
I'd probably get more comics done, if I wasn't lazy. 8I
-
I'd probably make comics.
if I wasn't so lazy.
-
spring break is coming up and its supposed to snow 9-10 inches. plus I just got over strep.
-
Bleah. Strep's been going around.
Also, bleah to snow, too.
-
sorry about my absence, how's everybody doing?
-
Work is sucking up pretty much all of my time and enthusiasm, but I'm still managing to make progress every here and there.
-
So, my first kid is getting born tomorrow.
That's.... completely insane.
I mean, I'm looking forward to all the challenges and opportunities of being a father, but holy flaming blood on a dancing wagon full of elves, I do not want to mess this up.
Anyway, expect me to busier than usual for the next few weeks, even though I am taking some time off work to meet my kid, and help mom and baby get settled.
That is: Don't expect me to get any sprites done soon, let alone pop in to talk about them.
-
Yeah. I already planned for that.
Good luck!
-
congratulations blood!
-
Ow.
Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow.
Hint: Don't shut your fingers in car doors.
Ow. Ow.
Don't expect much in the way of productivity from me for a little while.
Ow.
-
Thanks guys!
--and sorry about your hand, bro.
Get well soon.
-
I'm back, and hello to everyone!
-
Hello hello!
I'm hoping to put stuff up more often, so maybe people will stick around this time!
-
That sounds great!
-
High school starts Friday.
-
Is it that late already?
Time sure flies by when you aren't paying attention to it...
-
I know what I must do now!
I!!!!!
NEED!!!!
A!!!!
SANDWICH!!!!!!
-
Tell the snow it's only October.
-
Can't.
My player lives in Florida.
Snow has a restraining order against us.
-
Man, I wish snow had a restraining order here...I'm nowhere near ready for it...
-
It's almost Christmas! ;D
-
Yes....
Soon...
Soon, the paid vacation I have fought and bled for will...
--be spent with my in-laws.
Them's the breaks.
-
Life is crazy. Try to enjoy the trip, Blood. :P
-
yes, time to make a custom guitar!
-
Oh? What kind of guitar? Acoustic? Electric? Obsidian with spikes and blades?
-
my friend gave me it and its electric. first i'm going to wet sand the body, then i'm going to re-paint the frets.
then add some spikes and blades.
-
Spikes and blades make the guitar.
Just be careful not to injure anyone, yourself included.
-
will do, thanks.
-
Well, its done. Although a completely different guitar, the end was the same. I made a guitar that looks like it's old and run down but plays like New. My friend Cody and I went many sleepless nights but basically we hand sanded paint off for wear effects, repainted the neck and what have you. After that we replaced the bridge and other objects that were broke or gone. *with all do respect the person who gave it to us didn't take very good care of it, which gave me the idea of a simple "junkman" guitar.
I plan now to make the second, (technically the first) custom guitar.
Thanks to Cody and Daniel for the help.
-
Are you planning to post pictures anywhere? I'm curious what a "Junkman" guitar looks like...and sounds like, for that matter.
-
Man, I'm never around here, anymore. :C
So uh. 'Sup.
-
Life is a crazy, hectic, thing, but progress on (some of) my projects creeps ever so slowly onward.
You?
-
Junkman- a term relating anything that is thrown together with parts that don't go to that item, and the fact that it looks like what's left after some one had smashed the body of the guitar.
Working on the picture.
-
Nothing too different, unfortunately. Art, story-writing, video games. Sold a couple t-shirts though so that was nice. Maybe I'm finally getting somewhere, with art...
-
Hmm...that's always a good sign. Keep at it!
...it suddenly occurs to me that, while I've frequently drawn things for people, I've never actually sold any art. Weird.
-
The Blood of the innocent shall flow without end.

Kurt cobain once said, "it's ok to eat fish because they don't have feelings."
P.s. PINK! Totally forgot you could do this. ;D
-
You could eat fish, I suppose...but why would you want to?
-
I could eat fish, but then if I kissed my wife, it would make her sick.
I think we all know which of the two I'm giving up.
-
Fish are awful, anyway.
-
Well, I got dumped and I was sad and mad all at the same time, but no time for that.
8)
Time to party!
-
I promise I haven't forgotten you guys I STILL LOVE YOU ALL ;0;
I've mostly just been sucked into the vortex that is Tumblr. 8I But uh. Hi. I'm here. -waves- Strangely, I just got a Betta.
-
Life! There is life in this thing yet!
Honestly, I've been busy with life myself. Progress on Shadow Wolf putters along at the speed of molasses (but not the Great Molasses Flood...that would be awesome, but frightening).
-
I still come by every now and then! I contemplate posting art, but eh. Seems kinda weird to come by maybe once every few months and post art, then leave again. XD
Seriously though. I missed you guys. <3
-
I'm currently operating entirely on solar power...which would be awesome in a desert, but I need far more panels and batteries for my climate, so I'm not on nearly as much as I would like.
Still, some power is better than no power.
Glad to see you around.
-
Wow, new posts!
I've been super busy moving to a new department, at work, but I always check in here at least once a month, even if it's a ghost town, in case some spambot has made my mod duties necessary.
BTW, DW: Next time you have enough power to spare, we need to vox about background music.
-
Power supplies are on the upside at the moment, but never when you're online, Blood.
-
highschool is sucking a little less now that im not a freashman. ;D
plus its good to see new posts, been busy with school and finding a drummer but the search is over and that frees me up to come back to things like this. 8)
-
My steam is almost always on. Drop it a line if it says the compy is
Power supplies are on the upside at the moment, but never when you're online, Blood.
Just shoot something at me Steam account when you're on and available.
Also, yeah I forgot how much the school year has to do with how often we see people in here. It must have to do with my being away from school or seasonal work and pluggin the clock year round.
Hopefully things will pick up once people settle into enough of a routine that they have a daily trawl.
-
I can't seem to create a new thread today.
Can I even post?
BRO, DO YOU EVEN POST!
EDIT: It's working now. I think my original thread title was too long.
-
Say anything? Anything at all? Hmm...
The hordes of snails were almost upon me, I could smell the stink of their slime, when I woke up. In a cage, in a room with giant snails.
Noooooooooooooo~!
-
Exactly.
-
Welcome, Kitling. You fit in already.
-
Trying to determine why my boyfriends little brother hates my beard. ???
-
Hm.
Ever on and on,
I continue circling,
Blah blah blah blah blah...
A song, Bad apple. It sounds interesting, until you hear the English translation, and then it's depressing and interesting.
It's on YouTube, somewhere.
-
Been a while, how is everyone?
And does anyone else feel old?
-
I've been sick for a little over a week now, so that probably answers both questions...
-
It's been quite some time since I've come here lol I'm so happy and I actually got engaged~
-
Good for you! Congratulations!
-
Thanks a bunch 😊
