if I missed something post it, I'll fill it in place of other.

EPIC. METAL.
-
you got it!
-
Any of what you listed is good in moderation, except possibly rap. There is very little rap I actually enjoy. I also listen to a fair bit of Escala, Bond, E Nomine, or whatever happens to be playing at the time.
I'm not terribly picky, but I do have my preferences.
-
not picky, just filter brutally. ;)
-
I gotta be honest, most rap leaves me rolling my eyes or bored to tears.
Though I did enjoy Kanye West's Power.
Likely I am biased by the way I met it though, as it's usage in that one level of Saint's Row the Third was a stroke of genius, and artfully executed.
-
that's how you came to find that... I applaud thy sir.
WAIT!!! What about eminem?
-
some of his stuff is really good, but usually he just bores me.
-
Have you heard of the Misfits?
old ones, with Danzig as vocals.
-
Does anyone know who H.I.M, cold, or the 69 eyes are?
-
I'm way out of my element here, so nope. Sorry.
-
guns ans roses?
-
That one I actually know. I do like some of their songs...can't say for sure how many, because I haven't heard many.
-
Now that we have a playing field, the beginning to sweet child of mine is easy to play.
-
Maybe so...but I expect you have to know how to play an appropriate instrument. I can play the piano, but with no great degree of skill.
Still a good song, whether I can play it or not...
-
I play guitar, lots of songs that are good are usually easy to play.
-
I Like nirvana and there stuffs easy. heart shaped box is fun to play.
-
I don't mind Nirvana, but it's not one I tend to seek out. It's good stuff...sometimes.
-
just got a new amp cord, got into pantera, and everyone next-doors already pissed. its only been a couple of hours. >:)
-
I finally got an iPod so I can listen to music while I excercise.
Suddenly my life is to busy for exercise, and it's too cold outside anyway.

PanterA

flogging molly- laura
dropkick murphys- rose tattoo
dropkick murphys- barroom hero
I think you should listen to these, they help with a lot of problems. plus they all sound amazing!
-
Anybody listing to kid rock?
-
I usually just listen to whatever Pandora throws at me. Which, while an eclectic mix, seldom includes any such thing.
-
I started a band called project sanity. hard to come by singers though.
-
Started a new band called chaka diffrent sound, a lot heaver.
-
Player hasn't had much to contribute to this thread since he likes Country and Video Game Soundtracks.
Recently, though, he's discovered a love for something so horrible that it has to be mentioned....
Nightcore
Go ahead and shoot him now. I won't get in your way.
Seriously though, he's listened to various playlists on Youtube (since Nightcore is mostly remixes he doesn't have a good source for them just yet) and he recently settled on the four collections by this guy/gal to be the best. And by best he means both decent and CLEAN at the same time. Seriously, you'll be shocked by some of the lyrics people try to get away with.

In some cases, I find the nightcore remixes far more pleasant (and somehow better done) than the original...e.g. La Di Da.
The original has waaaay too much obvious autotune, and kind of drags on. The nightcore treatment makes the autotune far less apparent, and reduces it to a more acceptable duration.
Of course, for every 'good' nightcore, there are 20-2000 awful ones...
-
I never liked remixes all that much, other than that I've been listing to type o negative.

Spurgeons Law strikes again!

Coal chamber?
Loco, shock the monkey, good songs.
-
On nightcore:
I don't like their stuff.
True there are a couple of remixes that have been really definitive, but most of their work just feels... lazy.
There's this really intense sense that someone made this remix, listened to it, and decided to publish it even though they knew it wasn't good enough.
Yeah, yeah, they've produced thousands of songs or whatever, but quantity is not quality, and up-pitching a song and adding a (literally!) one-note sub-bass channel is not quality.
They really remind me of the Dub-step I was exposed to before I was exposed to any good Dub-step. I almost never got into Dub-step because so much of it is so bad, and that would have made me miss out on something I really enjoy.
-
Yeah...honestly there's only the one song I listen to that calls itself nightcore...and it doesn't even add anything, just speeds it up...which that song needed, because the original is boooring.
Dubstep...I don't know much dubstep, honestly. I know of Skrillex...but that's pretty much it. Skrillex is a mixed bag, anyway.

Promenade- Street Sweeper Social Club
Same guitarist from rage against the machine.
-
Not generally my thing, but not bad.
Honestly, I'm not sure what my thing is.

The Wheel in the Sky (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxGEVIvSFeY)
Journey is more my wife's sort of thing than mine, but this song really works for me.

Instant Double Post Jutsu!
**You are destroyed**
If I didn't have a disabled, pregnant wife, and a rambunctious toddler to care for, I would have taken this Song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKTpWi5itOM), and some visuals from this Show (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rs-dmlEDDkE), and made a music video. Thankfully, someone (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_LCeuftRKQ) beat me to the joke and I was saved.
Alas, until I master the art of being in 3 places at once, my Youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/MrFelblood/videos) will stay lonely.

Samhian< Misfits< danzig. evolution of metal.
on the other hand, pink floyd dark side of the moon and the wall are fantastic!

Rocking my 20 month old daughter to sleep is a huge chore, but I've found that it's faster and easier with music playing.
Dubstep seems to work best, but Synth metal, Epic Metal, and Hardstyle are also very effective.
It feels good to know you're teaching your kids to appreciate good music.
-
I'm imagining this as follows:
go to sleep, go to sleep, go to...SKREE BOOM SKREE BOOM sleep little baby...

Bweedledee BWAWAHWAHWaaaa~[/size]

That might be a good conversation starter. "I didn't know you liked metal" "I don't, my baby does"
