Cuz I keep getting political ads, and I know how you hate those.

If you really want interesting ads, though, just bear in mind that it's Google ads, so if we say a bunch of weird stuff, weird stuff shows up.

If there's one thing I learned from Concerned, it was the Monkey Chow bit.

Concerned was a webcomic about a game called Half-Life.  In his notes, he made a long, rambling paragraph about monkeys loving monkey chow, just to see what Google ads did with it.

There were many ads for Monkey Chow.

I know that the computers here at school use a common gateway IP, and that's how google keeps track of the data it gathers for ads cookies and click thrus, so this stuff is an amalgum of what get's searched/read about here at the college, but this is still a creepy vibe.

I would rather not have acquired this insight into the websurfing habits of my peers, even if it meant another day of Barak Obama's leeringly false smile at the top of this page.

I do that, a lot, myself... but it never says that, directly.  

Right now, I'm on my Mom's login, and it says "Google Earth" here, too, as well as "Google Maps..." and... more about itself...
