Just a silly little time-passer.
..."Feed Me" is currently playing. I want an Audrey II...
-
"Castle in the Sky" by DJ Satomi. Fun song... ;D
-
"Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley.
-
The Suits Are Picking Up the Bill ~ Squirrel Nut Zippers
Geez..what a mouthful..
-
Paranoid- Black sabbath
-
"Bad Apple"
The music video is pretty crazy. XD
-
Thanks to Donnie, this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmo584truz8#t=3m10s). Repeatedly.
No, I'm not complaining.
-
"Bad Apple"
The music video is pretty crazy. XD
That music video is actually what got me into Touhou, and by extension Puella Magi MAdoka Magica, which has a mega-sweet end-credit theme, whihc I can't stop listening to.
Heads up to anyone who might look up that anime: Things get grim around episode 4.
This anime is basically a deconstructionist satire of magical girl style superheros. Expect casualties.
-
Miracle of Sound's "The Dead Don't Shuffle (They Run!)"
-
their "The new black gold" is pretty good too.
-
♫ I'm a thinker, I could break it down... ♫♪ (http://answer.ocremix.org/)
(Warning, track 03 in the FLAC download is broken - fixed version here (http://anosou.com/music/03%20Apex%20in%20TECHNO.flac))
-
I had to go and listen to the songs other people mentioned. XD
Porcupine Tree, "Lazarus"
Pretty mellow song. :)
-
Awwm c'mon!
I LOVE Porcupine Tree! Check out "Blackest Eyes", maybe? (Also, "Trains", "Deadwing", "Anesthetize"... ;))
And, something I've juuuust posted in another forum (15 minutes ago or so):
So I've just randomly stumbled upon Star One (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_One) today...
and, howlin' squid, I like them. I REALLY like them.
(Live) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3q7lwl5nSQ) Intergalactic Space Crusaders (Studio) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KD0JuJr0a4I)
(Live) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdHk0fqf5wk) Set Your Controls (Studio) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aN6EUeg70Uw)
(Live) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaiFEI4nRzY) The Eye Of Ra (Studio) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPJzr0iEOaw)
... and the rest of the songs too. ;)
Been listening for last... erm, what? Three hours?! Apparently it's after 5am now...
PS. Dragyn, if you want me to stop spamming your forum, please tell... ^^;
-
Nope, you're fine. ^-^
I've been listening to...whatever Pandora spits out, mostly. Skrillex has a pretty awesome cover of the Legend of Zelda theme.
-
It takes traffic to bring traffic.
Use the form and you make it stronger.
-
Hahaha. Dragyn had me save "Intergalactic Space Crusaders" in his music folder when I listened to it... XD
(I'm on his computer because he is using mine to play games... :P )
Hey, Blood, you should check out the second band Tvorsk posted. Dragyn and I think it sounds like something you might like. :)
-
Glad you liked. :)
I've actually bought the live album, from which these Youtube videos are from. 2CD + DVD, something around $20 with shipping.
That's, quite literally, my first purchase of a "real CD" ever. I've bought some albums before, but only as downloads.
-
Holy squid, indeed!
I passed up the links earlier, because I was out of time, so I'm really glad you reminded me to give them a click.
Synth-metal ballads, about exploring new horizons? Yessssss.
Lift-off didn't really do it for me, but once I reached Set your Controls, I was hooked and had to click more.
-
It's a bit more crazy than that.
Arjen Lucassen, like Mike Oldfield, does all music by himself, and invites various vocalists to sing for him.
His main "project" is called Ayreon. There, just about every song is different vocalist and so on.
Star One is different, it's a "heavier" project, and with a consistent lineup.
The first album had songs about various "space" movies and shows.
Set Your Controls is Dr.Who, Intergalactic Space Crusaders is Blake's 7, and so on.
(They recorded second album recently, about dystopian movies. Opening track is about The Matrix. ;))
This live album has, of course, more musicians; Arjen plays guitar, but couldn't play everything else himself live at the same time. ;)
Anyway, this live DVD, has some, not all, songs from the first studio album, and a bunch of Ayreon songs performed by the Star One lineup.
And seriously, some of the latter (Isis and Osiris, The Eyes Of Time, so on) sound BETTER than originals.
Anyway, if you're searching on YT, check (all performed by Star One, from the same DVD):
High Moon (that's a Star One song)
Songs Of The Ocean (also Star One song)
Dawn of a Million Souls (that one's Ayreon)
Into The Black Hole (also Ayreon)
Isis And Osiris (Ditto)
From there, I've found out about Ayreon itself, checked out their stuff, and loved it. A bit gentler, but still great music. Maybe you'll like it too. ;)

Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) ~ Eurythmics
This song gets stuck in my head, so easily. Why are you so catchy, song? D8
-
That song is basically in perpetual repeat in my head.
Very catchy, indeed.
-
Probably because the famous odd synthbass baseline in this song happened due to the band accidentally playing the tape in reverse and liking the result.
-
That's awesome. I had no idea. XD
*Has to go listen to it and contemplate, now...* :P
And now I wonder what it sounded like before it was reversed... XD
-
La Seine and I (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Nudz3L9tpo), only the English version that I cannot seem to find, on Youtube. (the subtitles are not the same as the official English version)
I seriously cannot wait for the English release of this movie. It looks like it's going to be one of the better ones, this year.
-
It does look pretty interesting. My first thought was that a little soft guy voice like that doesn't seem like something that would come out of the brawny hulking fella dancing with that girl. Then I found out he was giant flea. So, who knows. :P
Still, interesting. :)
I'm listening to Dio's "Holy Diver."
The music video is super cheesy, but I think I can let that go, considering the time frame. XD
-
Ze thread, it DIED! D:
I shallrevive it! :D
"No one Like you" - Scorpions.
What can I say... I've been liking the classics, lately. 8)
-
The song from Ferrets, by Filmcow.
Google only ye who be prepared for bloody murder and other tasteless humor.
--but it's stuck in my head, and maybe if I listen to it a few more times the urge to sing it at work will go away.
-
Wow...
Just...
Wow. XD
I can see why you would want to avoid singing that at work. XP
"The Rhythm of Love" - The Scorpions.
More Scorpions. :P
I'd forgotten about all of these old rock songs, but have been digging them up, lately... reminds me of my childhood. Heh.
Sadly, though, with most of these my better memories of them were of my mother singing them as she drove or worked or something. I like a lot of the originals just fine, but they can never sound the same as I remember them...

Weird, kinda old fashioned in a way, but sooooo catchy...

*Knocks down cobwebs*
Whoa, without me around to give it some life, this place has gone all tomblike, in the last 5 months or so.
More on that elsewhere.
Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ksk7LoXHWQ) is metal for you.
-
Yeah...I've never been good at digging up neat music. I keep coming back to Billy Joel's "Piano Man" lately. I personally blame Weird Al, with his Spider Man version. Either way, it's a good old song, if a bit on the sad side.
-
mother by Danzig
The song is just something to get amped to.
-
Danzig...is apparently not for me. :P
I'm currently listening to "A Mad Russian's Christmas" by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, because my wife said I needed to listen to more Christmas music. This may not have been what she meant.
But it -is- pretty awesome.
-
La~nd of Immo~rtals! You mu~st belo~ng to me~~!
-
ok... danzigs a no... ummm, I got it, but it's pretty old.
In da club by 50 Cent
HAHAHHa! im ok now, haven't listen to rap since 2004. all metal and grunge.
-
Eh, just because I didn't like it doesn't make it bad.
Rap is also not my thing. :p
-
i've been listing to slayer, are you into thrash?
maybe try grunge or some soft-core.
-
In the mood for some old AFI or some Cold.
-
I enjoy a little thrash or speed metal, from time to time, but I generally prefer something with a broader sound.
Epic metal, synth metal and dubsteb( but only if it has a good sub-bass line or it get's boring.)
-
not saying its not good, but I can't consider it real music, real music has a band not a dj.
-
By some definitions, Thrash, Punk, and anything else you've listed isn't music. Best not to argue semantics here.
Honestly, a lot of what I consider music has a DJ, not a band. Not all of it, but a lot. Music is an incredibly broad topic, and in this day and age, it's hard to say what is and isn't actually music.
-
True, though when music was started, they never had a dj. xp
-
When music stared it was literally done with sticks and rocks.
-
my point is, that a "band" is something with a drummer, a singer, a bassist, and a lead guitar. which makes music, however a dj can only mix music that has those basics.
-
Clearly you lack love for the 20-hz, synthesized sub-base.
Synthetic sound has given us a whole world of new timbres to play with, and expanded the range of tones for our existing ones beyond the normal limits of physics.
It's sheer folly to throw all that away because it's never been done before.
-
Its only because I fear that which I do not know, but what I DO know is we can settle our differences because limp bizkit combined bolth a DJ AND A BAND and can rock as hard as slayer.
-
i've been listing to koяn.
don't ask how I found the r.
-
My guess would be either Google or the Microsoft Character Map lead you to the 'я'.
Either that, or you copy-pasted it from somewhere else.
-
still cool though; only place I'll ever use it though.
-
Man, Pandora gave me the Nightwish cover of Phantom of the Opera. I had forgotten how awesome that version is.
-
Thats way out of my element.
-
Five Finger Death Punch!!!
Enough said.
-
Er... I didn't know that this font even had a Lowercase Cyrillic "Ya".
This thing doesn't run on ASCII?
-
Speaking of Cyrillic lettering.
I'm listening to THIS (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lUV8ewRPqI&feature=player_embedded) in the other tab.
Jump to 3 minutes and let the madness flow over you.
Blood, it's a good thing I never did drugs!
-
dropkick murphys- kiss me i'm sh*tfaced or farmount hill are good.
-
Meanwhile, I'm just sitting here listening to the Borderlands 2 soundtrack. Currently, it's on this. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFDljGz4qYA)
-
mockingbird- eminem
thats heavy, its like someone who wants to give their kid more than they had when they were a kid, and tried to shield them from the bad; show them that when things suck, life is good for what you do have.
